Capaver AkkordVlies Z150 K

Classic, pre-pigmented cellulose-polyester fleece, which has been specially optimised for coating with airless devices.

  • LV Texte

    Field of Application

Technical fleece wall covering for inhibiting net cracks and bridging small pores and cavities. By varying the colour shade, gloss level and coating technique, Capaver AkkordVlies 150 K can be used to create attractive and individual wall surfaces. If changes are required to the visual appearance or if new usage requirements are placed on the surfaces, these can be realised simply, quickly and economically by coating as required. The fleece has the highest possible application safety when working with airless technology.

    Material Properties

    • No itching - high skin compatibility
    • Pre-pigmented, therefore high coverage of the substrate
    • Can be recoated directly during renovation
    • Dimensionally stable, crack-bridging
    • Classified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

    Technical Data

    • Water vapour permeability  (sD-value): 0.03 m = class V1 (high)
sD-value was tested with approx. 200g/m2 CapaColl GK on Akkordvlies Z150 K without coating.

    Supplementary Product

    • Capaver CapaColl RF
    • Capaver CapaColl VK
    • Capaver CapaColl Sensitiv VK
    • Capaver CapaColl GK
    • Coatings from the Caparol product range

    Note

Structural cracks cannot be repaired with Capaver AkkordVlies Z150 K. Please also refer to the relevant BFS-Merkblatt.

For medium requirements and a white to slightly tinted coating with a matt interior paint, one coat is usually sufficient. Depending on the colour tone, gloss level, surface stress, light situation and surface appearance requirements, two coats may be necessary. In principle, the agreed service between the contractor and client applies. A test coating is recommended in advance.

Suitability according to Technical Information No. 606 Definition of Application Areas

    Substrates

Interior surfaces made of plasters according to DIN EN 998-1 class CS II - CS IV / compressive strength min. 2 N/mm2, gypsum plasters according to DIN EN 13279-1 / compressive strength min. 2 N/mm2, plasterboard, plasterboards, concrete surfaces

    Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be firm, dry, stable, clean, level and free from separating substances. Observe VOB, Part C, DIN 18366, Para. 3. and our Technical Information No. 650. The lower temperature limit for application is +5 °C for object and ambient temperature.

High-contrast substrates such as concrete filigree ceilings must be primed with Caparol HaftGrund EG, other substrates must be tested in advance.

Note Q2/Q3 filling / thin gypsum layers < 0.5 mm

When using gypsum-based, hydraulically setting levelling compounds in quality level Q2/Q3, a transparent, water-based primer is recommended. Please refer to the Maler&Lackierer Merkblatt Nr. 2 -9/2020 "Haftfestigkeitsstörungen von Beschichtungen auf verspachtelten Gips(karton)platten" des Bundesverbandes Farbe, Gestaltung, Bautenschutz und des Bundesausschusses Farbe und Sachwertschutz.

As an alternative to gypsum-based Q3 levelling, levelling with pasty levelling compounds has proven itself.

    Method of Application

    Adhesive by roller application:

    • Apply CapaColl VK or CapaColl GK evenly with a roller and, depending on local temperature conditions, apply 1-2 sheets. After applying the adhesive, roll the adhesive bed with a roller (pile height 12 - 14 mm).
    • Caution! Take particular care to ensure that the adhesive is distributed as evenly as possible, as accumulations of adhesive under the fleece can have a negative effect on the final surface appearance.

    Adhesive by spray processing:

    • The spraying method is particularly suitable for use by several people.
    • CapaColl VK can be applied directly to the wall using airless equipment.
    • An adhesive quantity of 150 µm wet film layer is ideal.
    • CapaColl GK should be diluted with 20 % water depending on the local conditions.
    • When spraying, pay particular attention to the recommended material consumption and even distribution so that not too much adhesive is applied to the substrate.
    • After spraying on the adhesive, the adhesive bed must be rolled out with a roller
      (pile height 12 - 14 mm).

Tip! For detailed information on spraying CapaColl, please refer to the corresponding spraying data sheet in the download area or in our spraying technology manual.

Adhesive application with the wallpapering machine:

    • CapaColl RF and CapaColl VK are ideal for wallpapering machines.
    • When using CapaColl GK, it is necessary to dilute the standard product with 20 % water.
    • The material setting on the wallpapering machine (e.g. TapoFix) should be 1 and should not be exceeded.
    • When using the wallpapering machine, the soaking time of the strips should be minimised or avoided.

Embedding/bonding of glass fabrics and nonwovens:

    • To avoid structural differences, never apply the adhesive upside down or upside down.
    • For AkkordVlies Z150 K, we generally recommend butt bonding, although a double seam cut can also be used.
    • The sheets must be tightly butted in the seam area. However, this must not lead to bulging in the joint area and therefore a poor seam appearance.
    • The bonded sheets are then pressed against the substrate with a pressure roller, applying sufficient pressure over the entire surface and without bubbles. Any excess is cut off with a wallpapering scraper, fixing the edges.

Important! In general, pay attention to the recommended material consumption of the adhesive and even distribution so that not too much adhesive is applied to the substrate. Using too much material can lead to the subsequent opening of the seams.

Tip! When bonding around perpendicular external corners, ensure that the membrane is guided at least 10 cm around this corner. In the case of non-perpendicular corners, the fleece must be separated at the corner. When using CapaColl RF, AkkordVlies Z150 K can be removed dry from the wall when renovating.

    Surface Coating System

    Intermediate coating:
The intermediate coat forms the basis for a perfect final coat. After the wall covering has dried, the intermediate coat is applied to match the final coat.

    Final coat:
The choice of suitable top coat depends on the required degree of wear and gloss. Coatings should always be applied wet-on-wet. This also applies to trimming areas.

    Drying/Drying Time

Allow bonded sheets to dry thoroughly before coating.

    Note

To avoid textural differences, never apply overlapping or inverted adhesive to the same surface. Only use products from the same production batch on contiguous wall surfaces.

Capaver wall coverings are always carefully checked before leaving the factory. Occasional production-related defects may occur. These are marked on the cut edges and compensated for by appropriate allowances. Such faults do not justify a complaint. It is essential to ensure that the wall covering is free of defects during the cutting/wallpapering process. The later visible side is wound outwards on the roll. In the event of any complaints, the batch/control number and article number/designation must be kept to hand. These can be found on the original cardboard box of the wall covering. Complaints after more than 10 strips have been applied cannot be recognised.

    German Certificates

    Test certificates and expertises:
    • Flame retardancy acc. to DIN 4102, B1
    • Non-flammability acc. to DIN 4102, A2
    • Classified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
    • Can be decontaminated in combination with Disbopox 447 E.MI water epoxy

All test certificates and expertises can be downloaded from www.caparol.de in the download area of the respective product.

    Disposal
