Field of Application
Mineral impregnation paste, suitable to protect Calcino-Decor from polluted liquids. Surface impregnation with this product is highly recommended, since proper carbonisation of lime needs a longer time period (hardening of lime products by absorbing CO2 from the air) and colour pigments of tinted Calcino-Decor are not fully consolidated during the carbonisation process.
We recommend to apply a thin coat of impregnating paste with a double blade scraper and to draw off powerfully. (Front edge should preliminary be wet sanded with 400-grit sandpaper!)
- Fatless, colourless and odourless.
- Purely mineral.
- Highly diffusion- and sorption-capable.
0.750 kg plastic can
StorageKeep in a cool, but frost-free place. Do not store below 5 °C.
Keep partially used cans always tightly closed, thus avoiding agglutination and initial drying.
Suitable SubstratesThe substrate must be sound/stable, dry, clean, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18363, section 3.
Method of ApplicationAllow the surface to harden for 3 to 6 days for carbonisation of lime (do not apply an impregnation during this timeframe). Discolouration may occur with premature treatment. Apply a fine coat of impregnation paste Calcino-Imprägnierpaste evenly with a non-scouring Venetian trowel or (recommended) with a soft, non-fuzzing cloth/tissue. Do not apply more than 30 to 40 g/m2. Allow to flash off for a short time, then remove excess product with a soft cloth. Allow to dry, then wipe again.
The application of excess impregnating paste may lead to a slight whitish fogging effect (surplus of pumice dust) which cannot be objected. Wipe off again to reduce this effect.
Consumption30 - 40 g/m2
Application ConditionsLower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying: + 10 °C for product, ambient air and substrate.
ToolsApply a fine coat of impregnation paste evenly with a non-scouring Venetian trowel or (recommended) with a soft, non-fuzzing cloth/tissue.
Tool CleaningClean tools immediately after use with tap water.
Only clean tools should be used for application.
Cleaning and MaintenanceCalcino-Imprägnierpaste (impregnating paste) does not protect against direct spray/splashing water loads (limescale formation) or soiling caused by substances with contents of fat/grease, acids, tar, caffeine, theine or discolouring substances that leaves marks.
Slight surface soiling is removable with warm water, adding a neutral household detergent, if necessary. Note: Do not use descalers.
