    Colours

    White

Can be tinted via ColorExpress stations (Capamix) in many special tints of Caparol 3D-System plus collection and in many colours of other collections.

On intensively or dark tinted Capacryl PU-Matt coatings in the interiors a slight temporary abrasion of pigments may appear.

When applying colours with low opacity, like Red, Orange or Yellow, it is advisable to apply one priming coat using the matching colour shade of our Priming System.
Priming System colours are available via the ColorExpress tinting technique for Capacryl PU-Matt.

Colour Resistance according to BFS Data Sheet No. 26:

    Suitable Substrates

Primed wood component parts, primed metals and unplastizised/rigid PVC.
The substrate must be clean, sound/stable, dry and free from substances that may prevent good adhesion.

    Method of Application

Capacryl PU-Matt can be applied by brush, roller or spraying equipment. Stir well before use.

Manual application on large surfaces: Apply with a textured, short pile polyamide (nylon) roller and treat immediately with a fine-porous foam roller or Orelmix brush.

For a fast application and an even surface treatment the tool sizes should be adjusted to the surface area.

Apply two intermediate coats on dimensionally stable wood component parts according to BFS Data Sheet No. 18.
    1. Always apply Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund on wood containing water-soluble, discolouring substances (2 x on knots).
    2. The intermediate coat should match the finishing coat in shade. Via ColorExpress an optimised shade is automatically mixed for red, yellow or orange tints with poor covering power to achieve a higher opacity of the finishing coat. This may cause a slightly different shade.
    3. Tints with poor opacity (e.g. yellow/red/orange pigmented) may require an additional coat.
Note: Adhesion must be tested in advance for powder coatings, coil coatings and other critical substrates by a trial application.

    Consumption

    Approx. 100 – 120 ml/m2 per coat.
Consumption is a guide value and may vary, depending on substrate requirements. The exact consumption is best established by a trial coating (test area) on site.

    Application Conditions

Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:
Min. 8 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
Relative humidity must not exceed 70 %.
