Field of Application
Suitable for design and protection of dimensionally unstable wooden parts in the garden area, such as fences, pergolas, panelling and growth supports. In Germany: Follow BFS Data Sheet/Information No. 18, section 2.2.3 et seqq. before applying board-shaped wooden parts, as e.g. SWP (solid wood panels), laminated veneer lumber, chipboards and fibreboards. Do not apply in interior rooms.
Do not use for wood in contact with water (permanent moisture), contact to soil/earth/ground and wood subjected to static loads.

Suitable Substrates
Absorbent, dimensionally unstable wooden parts.
The substrate must be clean, sound/stable, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. The wood moisture content (WMC) must not exceed 15 %.
Follow the principles of constructional wood preservation. They are a premise for long-lasting wood preservation with coating materials.
Substrate Preparation
New WoodSand smooth surfaces in fibre direction, clean thoroughly and remove seeping wood contents, e.g. wood resin/rosin and resin galls.
Existing Raw Wood
Sand/grind off greyed, weathered surfaces to the stable, solid substrate and clean the surface very thoroughly.
Coated Wood
Remove existing coatings like enamel and thick-film wood stain to the stable, absorbent wood and clean thoroughly. Sand the surface of adherent existing thin-film wood stain and clean thoroughly. Then check for compatibility with Capadur ZaunLasur.
Method of Application
Capadur Zaunlasur is brush-applied in undiluted form.Application
Stir up Capadur Zaunlasur before use.

Consumption
Brush application on smooth surfacesApprox. 50 – 80 ml/m2 per coat, depending on substrate absorbency.
Brush application on saw-rough surfaces
Approx. 100 – 200 ml/m2 per coat, depending on substrate absorbency.
Consumption are only guide values and may vary depending on substrate requirements.
Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.
Application Conditions
Lower Temperature Limit for Application & DryingMin. 8 °C for product, ambient air and substrate.
Drying/Drying Time
At 20 °C und 65 % relative humidity dry and recoatable after 1-3 hours.
Drying time and gloss level are influenced by substrate absorbency.
Wood contents (ingredients), e.g. in oak wood, may lead to delayed drying.
Please Note (Status as at Date of Publication)
Keep out of reach from children. Do not inhale spray dust. Use combifilter A2/P2 when spraying. Use P2 dust filter for grinding. Ensure good ventilation during use and drying. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the paint. In case of contact with eyes or skin, immediately and thoroughly rinse with water. Do not allow product to enter drains, waterways or soil.Further information: See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
