Substrate Preparation

Substrates must be sound, planar, dry and free from all materials that may prevent good adhesion.

Method of Application

Pour the freshly prepared adhesive onto the wall surface, for instance the  reinforcement of ETICS,  and spread with a quare-notched trowel (6 x 6 mm or 8 x 8 mm) vertically.
Also apply the adhesive  - horizontally combed - on the backside of the tiles or brick slips and place the elements by "sliding" them with slight pressure into the mortar bed to achieve a complete, gap-free adhesive bed (Floating-Buttering-Method). The choice of the trowel depends on the substrate condition (roughness), dimensions and the texture of the backside of tile or brick slips . Only apply as much adhesive as can be covered with brick slips or ceramic tiles before the adhesive forms a skin.

Approx. 5.0 kg/m2 depending on the selected trowel type.
Reference values do not account for spillage, loss or individual conditions on site. The exact rate of consumption is best established by a trial application on site.

Application Conditions

Processing temperatur: + 5 °C to + 30 °C for adhesive, substrate and air during application and curing . Do not apply in direct sunlight or on sun heated substrates, during strong wind, fog or rain, high relative humidity or imminent rain or frost, etc.

Drying/Drying Time

Approx. 2–3 days, depending on temperature and relative humidity.

Tool Cleaning

Immediately after use with water.

Material Preparation

Pour the 25 kg powder of a bag slowly into approx. 6 - 6.5 l of tap water, while stirring intensively with a low-speed electric paddle or a compulsory mixer until a  homogeneous, lump-free mix is achieved.

Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)

Only to be used by trained operatives. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. May cause respiratory irritation. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Keep out of reach of children. Do not breathe dust. Wear protective gloves/ protective clothing/ eye protection/ face protection. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Due to its potassium silicate content, the reaction of silicate based coatings is highly alkaline. Hence protect skin and eyes from paint. Contains cement and quartz.
