Field of Application
Sealing and waterproofing of joints between Capatect ETICS and adjacent components like doors, window sills, balustrades, roofs, attics, eaves etc..
Material Properties
- Vapor permeable
- Weather and UV resistant
- Stress group 1 according to DIN 18542
- Recompressible, flexible and self-adhesive

Substrates
All substrates (joint flanks) must be load-bearing, even, dry and free from any residue that could impair adhesion (e.g. oil, grease, loose particles).Consumption

Material requirements:
These depend on the local conditions at the installation site. Determine the exact material requirements for the construction project.
Application Conditions
Optimum processing temperatures are between +8 °C and +20 °C. The expansion of the compressed foam is faster at higher temperatures and slower at lower temperatures.
Installation
It can be installed before, during or after the insulation boards are bonded.
Adjust the type of sealing tape in the dimensioning of the joint width and the expected joint movement.
When cutting the tape, add at least 2 cm per meter of measured length.
Apply the appropriate length of sealing tape to the clean substrate and butt the insulation boards tightly together. Tapes start and end always as blunt cut.
For vertical joints, start laying from the bottom.
Expansion times do not have to be considered.
Reinforcement layers and renders must be completely separated from the adjacent elements with a separating cut to allow undisturbed movement of the joint sealing tape.
Note:
Put a weight on remaining rolls in open boxes to prevent the rolls from expanding sidewards (telescoping). If necessary, joint sealing tape clips can help.
Disposal
Disposal according to official national and regional regulations.
