Capatect Sockelmulti 777

Mineral adhesive and base coat, as well as feltable finishing coat especially for the plinth area.
LV Texte

Field of Application

For bonding of plinth and perimeter insulation boards on facades to mineral substrates, bituminous thick coatings, sprinkled bituminous membranes and concrete in plinth areas and up to a depth of 20 cm below the ground level.

As a base coat of plinth and perimeter insulation boards on facades in plinth areas and up to a depth of 20 cm below the  ground level.

As a finishing coat for creating fine-grained, felted surfaces in the plinth area of external thermal insulation composite systems.

From a total layer thickness of base coat of ≥ 7 mm or base coat and finishing coat of ≥ 7 mm with integrated moisture protection.

For the renovation of fissured, mineral and load-bearing substrates in the plinth area.

Material Properties

  • Tested de-icing salt compatibility according to "IBF-Richtlinie by OFI"1)
  • Integrated moisture protection as of a total layer thickness of ≥ 7 mm
  • Can be used as felted or textured finishing coat
  • Suitable as an adhesive on bituminous substrates and ideal for medium-layer base coat for facades, which are flush with the plinth area
  • Fiber reinforced against mechanical impact
  • Higher flexibility in application, as exact marking of the top edge of the ground on facades is unnecessary
  • Idle times are shortened and additional travel to the construction project is unnecessary

Suitable Substrates

Masonry, concrete, building seals or firmly adhering coatings must be clean, dry and load-bearing. Contamination and substances with a separating effect (e.g. formwork oil) as well as protruding mortar burrs must be removed. Damaged, peeling old coatings and textured renders must be removed as far as possible. Hollow areas of render must be chipped off and then rendered flush with the surface. Highly absorbent, sanding or chalking surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned down to the solid substance and primed with "Sylitol RapidGrund 111". Tape off window sills and add-on parts.

Preparation of Material

Capatect Sockelmulti 777 can be mixed to a lump-free mass using a powerful, slow-running agitator or compulsory mixer and clean, cold water.
Water requirement approx. 5.8 l per 25 kg bag.
Do not mix more material than can be processed within 2 hours.
Do not use water to make material that has already stiffened workable again.

Consumption

  • Adhesive (dot-bead method): approx. 4.5-6.0 kg/m2
  • Adhesive (full surface): approx. 3-5.5 kg/m2
  • Base coat: approx. 1.5 kg/m2/mm (layer thickness: 5-7 mm)
  • Finishing coat: approx. 1.5 kg/m2/mm (layer thickness: 1-2 mm)

Determine exact material requirements by trial coating on the object.

Application Conditions

Application temperature:
During application and in the drying phase, the ambient and substrate temperatures must not be below +5 °C and above +30 °C. Protect from drying out too quickly, do not apply under direct sunlight, during wind, fog or high humidity. In this context, we refer to the leaflet "Verputzen bei hohen und tiefen Temperaturen" (Rendering at high and low temperatures) issued by the "Deutschen Stuckgewerbebund" (German Stucco Trade Association).

Drying/Drying Time

Curing:
Any necessary fastening with anchors should only be carried out after sufficient solidification of the adhesive bed, i.e. after approx. 1-3 days. Particularly in the cool season and in high humidity, drying is therefore delayed.

Reworking:
When reworking the material, approximately the following waiting times should be observed, depending on the drying conditions:

Rework with:waiting times
Capatect Sockelmulti 7771 day
Capatect SockelFlex /
Capatect SockelFlex Carbon
3 days
Coating systems7 days
Pasty renders5 days
Mineral renders2 days

additional moisture protection required for total thickness < 7 mm or for reworking with finishing coats of "Capatect SockelFlex" or "Capatect SockelFlex Carbon".

Tool Cleaning

Immediately after use with water.

Application

Processing as adhesive:
The minimum adhesive contact area is 40%. The joint areas of the insulation boards must remain free of adhesive. Always seal the joints between the insulation boards with insulation strips or "Capatect Füllschaum B1 056/00". Do not use adhesive for this purpose. Lay insulation boards in a offset pattern and press tightly together.

"Dot-bead method":
Apply circumferential bead beveled at the edge of the board so that no adhesive is pressed into the impact joint or bearing joint when the boards are pressed against each other. For an insulation board area of 0.5 m2, 3-6 adhesive dots must be applied. It is not possible to fix the insulation boards by point adhesion only.

When using the "dot-bead method" on old load-bearing renders and/or coatings, bituminous thick coatings and sprinkled polymer welding membranes, we recommend additional dowelling ≥ 150 mm above the top edge of the ground.

Tooth bed method:
The tooth bed method is only to be used for uneven substrates. Immediately after adhesive application, apply and tap insulation boards to the substrate. In the case of full-surface adhesion on bituminous thick coatings or scattered polymer welding membranes, additional anchoring ≥ 150 mm above the ground level is not necessary.

Processing as a base coat:
The material can be applied in a layer thickness of 5-7 mm. Then comb through with toothed trowel "R" and level with cartridge. Lay the mesh "Capatect Gewebe 650" into the open mortar bed, overlapping by approx. 10 cm, and level. The mesh must be completely embedded in "Capatect Sockelmulti 777" and lie in the upper third of the base coat thickness. In corner areas of building openings, additionally embed "Capatect Diagonalarmierung 651/00" or a fabric strip (25 x 25 cm) diagonally in base coat. If the thoroughly dried base coat is subsequently coated with an organic or mineral finishing coat, appropriate moisture protection must be provided depending on the installation situation.

Processing as finishing coat:
Cover the thoroughly dried base coat of "Capatect Sockelmulti 777" again with the same material in a layer thickness of approx. 1-2 mm. While stiffening, felt down with a fine sponge board. To use the integrated moisture protection of "Capatect Sockelmulti 777", it is recommended to partially check the layer thicknesses to ensure a total layer thickness of at least 7 mm.

If necessary, final coat:
After complete drying of both layers, a paint system (two coats) with a facade paint suitable for the base area, e.g. "ThermoSan NQG" or "Muresko", can be applied for color design.

After hardening and drying, rendering surfaces that bond below ground level must be protected with a fleece-laminated dimple membrane placed in front of them.
