Field of Application
Fiber-reinforced lightweight lime cement plaster type II as per DIN EN 998-1 as base plaster for monolithic masonry and highly thermally insulating masonry made of lightweight bricks, lightweight concrete and aerated cement concrete blocks (ACC) as well as rough moulded concrete; for inside and outside use. As a fiber-reinforced basic plaster with a reduced crack tendency on demanding plastering grounds such as mixed masonry etc.

GUP 200Substrate Preparation
Masonry, concrete or sound existing coatings must be clean, dry, adherent, sound, solid, dry, free from all substances, that may prevent good adhesion (e.g. formwork oil) and moderately water absorbent for a good adhesion. Remove mortar burrs and all unsound, flaking existing paints or textured plasters. Chip off all plaster areas showing cavities (local separation) and repair to match the surrounding surface. Clean highly absorbent, sanding or chalking surfaces thoroughly up to the solid substrate level and prime with concentrate Sylitol-Konzentrat 111.
Pretreat smooth or non-absorbent mineral wall surfaces, such as smooth-cast concrete or smooth lime stone, with a mineral adhesive primer, for example with Capatect Klebe- und Spachtelmasse 190 , must be applied with the toothed spatula. Comb the adhesive primer horizontally for a better adhesion.
See the manufacturer's instructions for novel wall surfaces.
Germany: Before processing of Capatect GUP 200 FL check wall surface and if necessary surface preparation as per VOB / C-ATV-DIN 18350 and DIN 18550-1 / DIN EN 998-1
Preparation of Material
Capatect GUP 200 FL can be processed manually or with all common plastering machines.
Water consumption per 20 kg bag: Approx. 7.0- 7.5 l of tap water
Method of Application
For substrates with increased risk of cracking, e.g. in window and door areas or in the case of material transitions, an additional reinforcement with Capatect Gewebe 666 (fabric) is to be embedded in the upper third of the plaster layer. A thickness of at least 15 mm must be observed. In exposed areas (eg strong weathering), in dark colors areas with a lightness index of <30, render with a grain size of less than 2 mm, as well as irregularities in the wall former (eg mixed masonry), a reinforced base coat made of Capatect Klebe- und Spachtelmasse 190 or Capatect Klebe- und Armierungsmasse 131 SL and Capatect Gewebe 650 is required.
Capatect-GUP 200 FL always needs a render made of ThermoSan Fassadenputz NQG or Capatect-Mineral-Leichtputz after a curing time of at least 1d per mm .
An intermediate coating with Putzgrunf 610 between the render and the base coat is recommend.
In case of a two-layer application, the first layer is to be rough up well. Otherwise, the provisions of the valid DIN 18550-1 apply.
Consumption
- per 1 cm thickness approx. 8.3 kg/m2
- Yeild of 20 kg dry mortar premix: approx. 24 l fresh mortar
(approx. 1.5 m2 at 15 mmthickness and approx. 1.2 m2 at 20 mmthickness) - Yield of 1000 kg dry mortar premix: approx 1200 l
(approx. 80 m2 at 15 mmthickness)
Application Conditions
Processing temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C for substrate, mortar and ambient air during application and curingExample for Machine Equipment
Processing of Capatect GUP 200 FL with standard plastering machines like PFT G4 or G5, m-tec duo-mix, see also operation manuals of equipment and the "Manual of spray technology".
Note: Rinse the delivery hose before regular operation with lime slurry or paste!
Delivery hoses: 20 m at 25 mm Ø or 30 m at 35 mm Ø- depending on site situation and environmental temperature.
Spraying unit: 8 - 12 mm
Electric-supply: 400 V rotary current /16 A
Water supply: 3/4" hose, minimum 2.5 bar water pressure
Spiral casing: D6-3 or similar
If necessary, cover the scaffoldings with tarpaulins to protect the surface from rain during the application and curing phase.
Follow national or local regulations and specifications for application of mineral based mortars.
