Field of Application
For sealing and waterproofing of joints between Capatect ETICS Systems and adjacent components. Especially suitable for waterproofing between the screw-hole ledge of the windowsill and the window frame.Material Properties

Substrate Preparation
All surfaces (joint flanks) must be load bearing, flat, dry and free of all residues that could prevent a good adhesion (such as oils, greases, loose parts). In wide façade joints with strong absorbent substrates, prime the joint edges for hydrophobation before installation.
Consumption
1.02 m per m joint plus offcuts plus 5 cm for each window sill side.
Depending on conditions at site. The exact consumption is best established by trials at site.
Application Conditions
Optimum processing temperatures: +8 ° C to +20 ° C. The expansion of the compressed foam is faster at higher temperatures and slower at lower temperatures.
Installation
When cutting the tape, add at least 2 cm per meter of measured length (plus 5 cm for each window sill side when using it on window-hole ledges).
Cut the joint sealing tape blunt and stick it onto the back site of the screw-hole ledge of the window sill. Guide it about 5 cm around the corners of the board profile.
Expansion starts immediatelly after decreasing the pressure of the rolled tape.
Take care for a perfect sealing layer while placing cut ends blunt together.
Note: Put a weight on remaining rolls in open boxes to prevent the rolls from expanding sidewards (telescoping). If necessary, joint sealing tape clips can help.
