Suitable Substrates
Concrete, solid and bearing substrates like mineral render/plaster or paint coatings.
Substrate Preparation
Remove all materials that may prevent good adhesion. Remove projecting mortar burrs. Chip off larger cavities and fill flush with the surface. Thoroughly remove dust, dirt and flaking paint. If necessary prime the surface.
Consumption
1.7 boards/m2 plus offcutsFitting of Insulation Boards
Zone ceiling centered to obtain a uniform pattern and less offcuts. Fix the thermal insulation boards with adhesives (like Capatect-Klebe- und Spachtelmasse 190, Capatect-Klebe- und Armierungsmasse 186M, Capatect-Dämmkleber 185 or Disbomulti 209).
Absolutely planar substrates: Pour the adhesive on the reverse side of the thermal insulation boards and spread using a 10 x 10 mm notched trowel.
Irregulare Substrates: Applying the adhesive in the bead-point-method to achieve at least 40 % of the surface in contact with the adhesive.
Bring boards into position by shifting them with slight pressure while respecting the revolving shiplap. Apply in staggered-joint or cross-joint fashion.
Fix the boards with two anchors per board if necessary. Suitable anchors: Capatect-Universaldübel 052 or EJOT Deckendämmschraube DDS combined with EJOT Deckendämmteller DDT.
Board surfaces can be painted with emulsion paints as desired.
This product contains HBCD (Hexabromcyclododecane – CAS-Nr. 25637-99-4) in a Conzentration > 0,1 % (w/w).
See "Recommendations for Safe Use"
Avoid contact of boards with aromatic solvents.
Disposal
Insulation boards should be cut carefully and offcuts be reused wherever possible, avoiding wastage. Attention should be made to remove wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures. Small amounts of wastage can be disposed of as per European Waste Code EWC 17 06 04 (insulation materials).
