Suitable Substrates
Suitable as finishing render for Histolith® Trass-Sanierputz and for mineral renders/plasters exteriors & interiors as per German standard DIN 18 550 in mortar groups/classes PI (lime plasters), PII (lime-cement mortars), PIII (cement mortars).Furthermore suitable in interiors on gypsum plasters/stucco and plasterboards. When a priming coat of Histolith® Strukturgrund has been applied, the product is also applicable on existing stable coatings of interior paint or synthetic (organic) plaster.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be solid, sound/stable, frost-free, dry and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. Rendering must be roughened and fully set/cured. Carefully clean the substrate.Preparation of Material
Mix Histolith® Feinputz with a suitable low-speed electric paddle mixer/agitator to achieve application consistency. The mixture must be free of lumps.Water demand: Approx. 5.5 litres of tap (potable) water per bag.
Processing time: Approx. 120 minutes
Method of Application
Apply the thoroughly mixed product manually or use current plastering machine equipment,e.g. m-tec, PFT G4. Maximum tube length: 25 m. Minimum diameter of tubes: 25 mm.
Texture the slightly stiffened surface (after brief setting) or treat with a felt float.
Surface Coating System
On exterior surfaces a finishing coat with highly water vapour permeable paint is essential. Therefore Histolith® Dispersionssilikatfarben (silicate emulsion paints), Histolith® Kalkfarben (lime/limewash/whitewash paints) or AmphiSilan-Siliconharzfarbe (silicone resin paints) are advisable.Consumption
Approx. 1.5 kg/m2 per mm of coating thickness.Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.
Application Conditions
Low Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:≥ +5 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
Do not apply in direct sunlight or on sun heated substrates, during strong wind, fog or rain, high relative humidity or imminent rain or frost, etc. or protect the surfaces by suitable means.
Drying/Drying Time
Allow to set for at least 7 days, then treat the full surface with Histolith® Fluat, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry, before applying subsequent coats.Protect coated surfaces from premature drying.
Tool Cleaning
Clean tools/equipment immediately after use with water.Note
Germany: Follow DIN 18 550, VOB part C DIN 18 350 and WTA-Merkblatt (Data/Fact Sheet) 2-9-04/D.Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)
