High-quality SilaCryl® based facade paint with mineral characteristics. Particularly suitable for efficient coatings
via Nespri-TEC spraying method.

Field of Application

High-quality facade paint for universal use on smooth and textured substrates. Mist-free application (no over spray) is effected with the special Nespri-TEC spraying method.
The SilaCryl® base provides for convincing building physics properties, e.g. excellent moisture proofing, high vapour permeability and sufficient CO2 penetrability.
In addition, the SilaCryl® base ensures the same wide range of colour shades, weather resistance, chalking stability and adhesive strength as high-grade pure acrylate/acrylic paints.

The product is deliverable in individual colours ex factory on request.

Check tinted product before applying to avoid colour differences. Always use tinted paint of same batch, when applying on seamless surfaces.
Muresko Nespri-TEC can be tinted to all current colour collections via the ColorExpress tinting & mixing machine system.
Brilliant, intensive colour shades may have a lower opacity (hiding/covering power). It is therefore advisable to apply a first coat in a similar hiding pastel tint, based on white. Possibly a second finishing coat may be necessary.

Suitable Substrates

The substrate must be sound/stable, dry, clean, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18363, section 3.

Substrate Preparation

Prepare surfaces with algal or fungal attack previously by wet cleaning, in compliance with the regulations. Then use Capatox or FungiGrund and allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

New and Existing, Intact/Stable External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS) with Surfaces of Synthetic Resin-Bound (Organic), Silicone Resin or Lime-Cement Render/Plaster (Class PII) / Minimum Compressive Strength according to DIN EN 998-1: 1.5 N/mm2:
Clean existing renders/plasters by suitable wet cleaning method. Maximum temperature for high-pressure water jet: 60 °C. Pressure: max. 60 bar. Allow to dry thoroughly. Coat with Muresko Nespri-TEC according to the existing type of top coat and substrate conditions as described below.

Exterior Renders in Mortar Groups/Classes PII (Lime-Cement Mortars) and PIII (Cement Mortars) / Minimum Compressive Strength according to DIN EN 998-1: 1.5 N/mm2:
New renders must be left untreated for a sufficiently long holding time, at least 2 weeks at 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. Adverse weather conditions, influenced e.g. by wind or rain, extend the curing process and correspondingly longer holding times must be respected. The risk of calcareous efflorescence on alkaline finishing renders (classes PII, PIII) is minimised by an additional priming coat of CapaGrund Universal and the following coat can already be applied after 7 days.

Existing renders: Repairs must have adequate time to cure and dry. Highly porous, absorbent, slightly sanding renders: Apply one priming coat of OptiGrund. Prime highly sanding, chalking renders with Dupa-grund or use AmphiSilan-Putzfestiger on ETICS with EPS boards.

New Silicate Finishing Renders: Coat with suitable paint of the Sylitol product range. For listed/landmarked buildings suitable products of the Histolith® range are also applicable.

Existing Coatings of Silicate Paint and Render: Clean stable, adherent coatings by mechanical means or high-pressure water jet, in compliance with the regulations. Remove unstable, weathered, poorly adherent coatings (sand/grind off, abrade or scratch off). Apply one priming coat of AmphiSilan-Putzfestiger.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) / Cellular Concrete with Stable Existing Coating: Clean intact, adherent surfaces. Apply one priming coat of CapaGrund Universal or one Nespray coat of AmphiSilan-Grundierfarbe. For proper treatment of unstable coatings we refer to the Disbon product range.

Concrete: Clean surfaces with deposits of dirt or fines/sintered layer by mechanical means or with pressure water jet, in compliance with the regulations. Prime slightly absorbent or smooth surfaces with CapaGrund Universal or AmphiSilan-Grundierfarbe (using Nespray technique). Prime highly porous, slightly sanding or absorbent surfaces with OptiGrund. Prime chalking surfaces with Dupa-grund.

Cement-Bound Wood Chipboards / Particle Boards: Prime the highly alkaline cement-bound boards with Disbon 481 EP-Uniprimer in order to prevent calcareous efflorescence.

Facing Brickwork: Only frost resistant clinkers or bricks, free of inclusions, are suitable substrates for applying paint coatings. Masonry must be dry and free of salts/salty efflorescence, jointing must be free of cracks. Prime with Dupa-grund. If brown discolouration appears on the intermediate coat use the anhydrous/solvent-based facade paint Duparol.

Sound Coatings of Emulsion Paint: Clean soiled, chalking coatings by high-pressure water jet, in compliance with the regulations. Apply one priming coat of CapaGrund Universal or AmphiSilan-Grundierfarbe (using Nespray technique). If other cleaning methods are used (washing, wire brushing, hosing with water), prime with Dupa-grund or use AmphiSilan-Putzfestiger on EPS insulation boards.

Sound Synthetic Resin-Bound (Organic) or Silicone Resin Renders: Clean existing renders by suitable means. Allow wet cleaned surfaces to dry thoroughly before any further treatment.

Unstable Mineral Coatings: Remove unstable coatings e.g. by grinding/sanding off, brushing, scraping or via high-pressure water jet, in compliance with the regulations. Allow wet cleaned surfaces to dry thoroughly before further treatment. Prime with Dupa-grund.

Unstable Coatings of Dispersion/Emulsion Paint or Synthetic (Organic) Render: Remove completely by suitable means, e.g. mechanically or via paint stripper, followed by surface cleaning with a high-pressure water jet, in compliance with the regulations. Prime slightly absorbent or smooth surfaces with CapaGrund Universal or AmphiSilan-Grundierfarbe (using Nespray technique). Prime chalking, sanding, absorbent surfaces with Dupa-grund.

Surfaces Contaminated with Factory Fumes or Soot: Coat with the solvent-based facade paint Duparol.

Cracks in Render/Plaster or Concrete: Coat with PermaSilan or Cap-elast.

Surfaces with Salty Efflorescence: Remove salty efflorescence by dry wire brushing. Prime with Dupa-grund. Coating of such surfaces must be considered a risk for which we cannot accept responsibility, since even after the most thorough treatment the efflorescence may recur.

Defects: Repair small defects with Caparol Fassaden-Feinspachtel. Large defects (up to 20 mm) are preferably to be repaired with Histolith-Renovierspachtel. Prime repaired areas.

Method of Application

The product is only to be applied with special Nespray airless equipment.

Spray Application:
Spray angle: 30°
Nozzle: Special Nespray 0.016” – 0.019" double nozzle.
The product temperature is automatically controlled by the NESPRAYPLUS airless unit. Spray pressure (opened pistol) is then in the green marked field of indicator/manometer.
For NESPRAYKIT-Schlauchtrommel (hose reel) it should be set (self dependent) on the related airless unit. Other coating materials, especially primers, may also be applied with the Nespray airless unit, but a spray dust minimising (mist-free) effect cannot be guaranteed. Apply those products with corresponding precaution.

Surface Coating System

Remove fungal or algal attack (organic growth) by wet-blasting, in compliance with the regulations. Then use Capatox or FungiGrund and allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

Surface Coating System Using Special Nespri-TEC Paint Spraying Technique:
Apply the first, intermediate and finishing coat of undiluted Muresko Nespri-TEC with special Nespray airless unit and then (directly) evenly roll over again with a standard facade paint roller.

Consumption

Approx. 250 ml/m2 per coat on smooth substrates. On roughly textured surfaces correspondingly more. Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.

Application Conditions

Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:
+5° C for product, substrate and ambient air.

Drying/Drying Time

At +20° C and 65 % relative humidity surface-dry and recoatable after 4 - 6 hours. Completely cured and ready for stress after approx. 3 days. Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time.

Tool Cleaning

Clean tools/equipment immediately after use with water.

Note

To avoid lapping on extensive surfaces, the product should always be applied wet-on-wet and without interruption. Do not apply on horizontal surfaces exposed to water/rain or moisture.

Only intact/stable ETICS/EWI systems can be renovated by coating with paint. For unstable surfaces please refer to the Capatect Renovation System for ETICS/EWI systems. Do not use solvent-based primers on ETICS/EWI systems with polystyrene insulation (EPS boards/panels). Exception: AmphiSilan-Putzfestiger.
Luminosity/lightness index (LI) for tinted coatings must be > 20 and > 30, if sound/stable existing coatings on cellular concrete/AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) are to be recoated.

External Thermal Insulation Composite System / Brit. term: External Wall Insulation

Muresko Nespri-TEC contains a preservative against deterioration in the coating film due to algal and fungal (fungi/mildew/mould) attack for prolonged – but not unlimited – protection, depending on the degree of moisture and intensity of organic infestation. Therefore a permanent protection cannot be guaranteed.

Mechanical loads/scratching on matt facade paints in dark shades may produce bright-toned stripes as a product specific property (no writing resistance).In case of moist weather conditions (rain, dew, fog) yellowish transparent traces of additives, showing a slightly glossy shine and stickiness, may occur on the surface of compact, cool substrates or by means of delayed drying caused by the weather. The traces of additives are water-soluble and will disappear under the influence of a sufficient water quantity, e.g. repeated intensive rainfalls. The quality of the dried coating will not be affected by these changes. In case of direct reworking, all traces of additives must be pre-wetted and completely removed after a short reaction time. An additional priming coat of CapaGrund Universal must be applied. The traces cannot occur when the product is applied under suitable climatic conditions.

Touching up surfaces is depending on many parameters and may remain noticeable after drying.

Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)

Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label (intestinal bacteria can be affected). Do not empty into drains, water courses or into the ground. Use P2 dust filter for grinding. Ensure good ventilation during use and drying. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. In case of contact with eyes or skin, immediately and thoroughly rinse with water. Clean utensils immediately after use with soap and water.

Contains: 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 2-methyl-
2H-isothiazol-3-one. May produce an allergic reaction.

According to European Regulation 528/2012 this product is defined as a "treated article” (not a biocidal product) and contains the following biocidal substances: Carbendazim (CAS-No. 10605-21-7), Isoproturon (CAS-No. 34123-59-6), Terbutryn (CAS-No. 886-50-0), 2-Octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-on (CAS-No. 26530-20-1).

Disposal

Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.
In Germany: Only completely empty containers must be handed in for recycling. Dispose containers with residues of liquid product via waste collection point accepting old paints and enamels. Dispose dried/hardened product residues as construction site/demolition/municipal or domestic waste.

of this product (category A/c): max. 40 g/l (2010). This product contains max. 20 g/l VOC.
