Statement regarding Ecology

Surfaces that have been cleaned and then treated with Capatox are not rewashed according to the processing instructions, so that, as a rule, no waste water is produced. If waste water containing Capatox occurs when cleaning tools, this can be discharged into biological sewage treatment plants via the sewer, because cationic surfactants are inactivated and biodegraded by the anionic surfactants contained in detergents and cleaning agents. Capatox must not be discharged into surface water (including rainwater canals) and must not get into the groundwater. The active ingredient is incompatible with cold-blooded animals (fish).

When doing facade work, protect plants and bushes in the immediate vicinity of the facade as well as the soil by covering them. Plant damage occurs when plants are sprayed directly with the working solution. If small amounts (splashes) of Capatox solution get into the soil, the active ingredient remains in the top soil layer due to the cationic surfactant properties and becomes ineffective. A lasting impairment of the soil or the groundwater is not to be expected.

Sanitary Precautions

Capatox is a special cleaner for interior and exterior surfaces. The product contains a cationic tenside named alkyldimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride.
This active agent is also used as cationic soap in the field of foods, for disinfection of surfaces in creameries/dairies, breweries, meat converting plants, and in hospitals, green houses and small swimming pools.
In the field of cosmetics the active agent is approved for deodorants/antiperspirants and for preservation of cosmetics.
In the field of pharmaceutics the active agent may be used for preservation of eye drops and injection compounds.
For skin disinfection the active agent is an ingredient of wound cleaners, hand disinfectants, etc., and is also used e.g. for hand washing agents in hospitals or for wound up towels, made of cotton.
The widespread use of the active agent of Capatox in food production shops, in the field of human medicine and hygiene, demonstrates the usability of Capatox on interior and exterior building surfaces without sanitary scruples.
