Field of Application
Special primer with good adhesion and coverage as adhesion-promoting primer for subsequent synthetic resin, silicone resin, silicate and mineral renders as well as coloured stone render coatings in the Capatect façade systems.
For well-covering, non-slip priming coats on load-bearing, mineral interior surfaces and gypsum boards (GK boards).
PutzGrund 610 can also be used as a texturing and coloured priming coat, the so-called "brush-on", for glaze techniques with Arte-Lasur and Deco-Lasur and as a priming coat for "Capadecor VarioPutz" and "Capadecor CalcinoDekor".
Material Properties
- Simplifies the application and structuring of subsequent coatings for higher surface coverage.
- Reduces the water absorption of the substrate
- High adhesion and extended open time for subsequent coatings
- Can be diluted with water
- Solvent- and preservative-free
- Fire behaviour "non-combustible" or "flame-retardant" according to the structure of the respective Capatect façade system

Colours
White.
With "CaparolColor" and "AmphiColor Abtönfarben" or mechanically via the "ColorExpress-System". Tinting no longer guarantees the preservative-free property.
When using "Histolith Volltonfarben" (max. 10 %), the preservative-free property is still guaranteed. If more is added, the desired texture and fullness will not be achieved. In case of self-tinted material, it is recommended to mix the required total quantity to avoid differences in colour shade.
Brilliant, intensive colour shades may have a lower hiding power. It is therefore recommended to apply a comparable, opaque, white-based, pastel colour shade before applying these shades. A second top coat may be necessary.
In order to detect possible tinting errors, please check for colour consistency before application. In case of conspicuities or deviations from the delivery target (e.g. colour shade deviations) or from the usual quality, please also observe the guidelines on inspection obligations for delivery of tinted products of the Association for Insulation Systems, Plaster and Mortar (Verband für Dämmsysteme, Putz und Mörtel e.V.): Brochures and leaflets - VDPM.

Suitable Substrates
The substrates must be free from dirt, separating substances and dry. In Germany: Observe VOB, Part C, DIN 18363, Para. 3. Please refer to our Technical Information No. 650 "Substrates and their pre-treatment" regarding suitability for various substrates and their necessary pre-treatment.Substrate Preparation
New mineral renders, also base renders:
Depending on season and temperature, leave untreated for at least 2-4 weeks.
Coarsely porous, slightly sanding or absorbent surfaces:
Apply a priming coat of OptiSilan TiefGrund.
Render that is sanding and flouring on the surface:
Apply a priming coat of Dupa-Putzfestiger.
Interiour:
Soft gypsum substrates
Apply one priming coat of Dupa-Putzfestiger. For substrates with water-soluble discolouring ingredients, apply a priming coat of Filtergrund grob. Coat normally absorbent, load-bearing substrates without prior priming.
Note Q2/Q3 Filling / thin layers of gypsum < 0.5 mm
When using gypsum-containing, hydraulically setting levelling compounds in quality level Q2/Q3, a transparent, water-based primer is recommended. For this, we refer to the "Maler&Lackierer leaflet" No. 2-9/2020 "Adhesion problems of coatings on filled gypsum (cardboard) boards" of the "Bundesverband Farbe, Gestaltung, Bautenschutz and the Bundesausschuss Farbe und Sachwertschutz". As an alternative to gypsum-based Q3 filling, filling with pasty filling compounds has proven successful.

Thinning
Can be adjusted to working consistency as a primer or intermediate coat with max. 10 % water.Surface Coating System
For following coloured synthetic resin, silicone resin, silicate and mineral renders as well as "Buntsteinputz" coatings, it is recommended to tint "Putzgrund 610" to the colour shade of the finishing coat, for "Capadecor VarioPutz" tint "PutzGrund 610".Consumption
Approx. 250 - 350 g/m2 on an even substrate, depending on intended use and substrate requirements. On roughly textured substrates correspondingly more. Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.Application Conditions
Low Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:+5 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
