The seminar series for architects and building societies
Top-notch training: Every year anew, the Knowledge Forum offers a versatile one-day programme with experts from various fields of industry presenting exciting themes and top-notch presentations. The seminar programme takes place at several locations. One theme is always variable to cater to specific regional needs and current market ongoings.
For instance, during the last event in 2015 on 26 March in Nuremberg, the programme dealt with the topic of ETICS fire protection as a current theme that had been dealt with extensively in the media as well as the new information from DIBT, which gave the experts quite a lot to talk about. Speaker Ronny Meier was the perfect person to cover this topic: The energy and modernization consultant also works as a journalist and author – so he was very able to show us how media creates and controls sympathies on the one hand, and as an energy specialist, he was able to provide accurate information and answer the many questions that people had.
Diverse topics inspire
The other presentations aroused great interest as well; overall the good mix of topics and the high level of knowledge of the participants received much praise. Some of the participants had already attended several events, because: "The quality of the speakers is outstanding, each and every time", "I always take a lot home with me" and "The Knowledge Forum is information and inspiration", – to repeat just a few of the things the participants has to say.
For instance, the presentation on facade design provided many new perspectives, also for thermally insulated facades. Once you have learned about the options of natural stone, brick or innovative plasters, they are also easy to offer to your customers with conviction. The same applies to the "innovative surfaces" for interiors: Many participants were surprise that extraordinary looks are still within budget – with the appropriate knowledge, the planner can become a customer's idea generator.
The participants all agree: Knowledge for every-day practice
The Knowledge Forum focuses on providing a wide range of topics and not just in theory, it's also about applying knowledge in practice. For instance, in addition to Ronny Meier's presentation of the facts, he also offered detailed information on the latest ETICS fire protection regulations and also helpful tips on how this can be applied in future projects. And for those who want to know even more: After the presentations and during the breaks, the participants had ample opportunity to ask the speakers questions and to talk to the other participants.
Also top fit in the future
The Knowledge Forum will launch a new programme in fall – there will be various topics available nationwide and the locations may also change depending on the respective demand.
The "Knowledge Forum" event is registered as a continuous education event with the architect chambers in Hesse, Baden Württemberg and Brandenburg.
