The length of a typical renovation cycle depends heavily on the local conditions concerning weather, pollution and other influences such as abrasive salty sea breezes in areas close to an ocean. European façade renovation cycles typically last up to 10 years, but can also be longer or shorter. However, it has been proven that ThermoSan extends the renovation cycle by 33 per cent compared to standard façade paint.
As with any façade paint, you should properly prepare the surface you're wishing to paint beforehand. When using ThermoSan NQG you should use a specialised primer according to the façade structure you're facing. Due to ThermoSan NQG's longer lifespan, you need less paint compared to other façade paints, which reduces the impact on the environment over renovation cycles. ThermoSan NQG is furthermore produced in Germany, the production facility located in Ober-Rammstatt additionally operates carbon-neutral to lessen the environmental impact.
Due to the Nano-Quartz technology (NQG) utilized in ThermoSan, the paint requires a fewer amount of binders than conventional façade paints. This is why ThermoSan NQG ranks in the best binder class in the German Classification System, which proves the paint to be very colour stable.
