Shelf life of the original, tightly closed packaging: 12 months.
Density
Approx. 1.2 g/cm3Suitable Substrates
Primed windows and doors as well as primed unplasticized (rigid) PVC and sound existing paints. The substrate must be clean, sound/stable, dry, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. Maximum permissible wood moisture in dimensionally stable wood: 13 %.
Substrate Preparation
Wooden Parts:
Sand the surface in fibre direction, clean thoroughly, then remove seeping wood contents, e.g. resin/rosin and resin/pitch pockets, cut sharp edges (see BFS Data Sheet No. 18).
Unplasticized (Rigid) PVC:
Wash with light ammonia solution using sanding pad according to BFS Data Sheet No. 5 and No. 22.
Sound Existing Paint Coatings:
Sand the surface of existing paint coatings slightly and/or treat with alkali. Remove unsound coatings.

✱ | Apply two intermediate coats on dimensionally stable wooden parts as per BFS Data Sheet No. 18. |
1. | Always apply Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund on wood with water-soluble, discolouring wood components (2 x for knots). |
2. | Defective existing paint coatings: Prepare and prime according to substrate requirements. |
Note: Adhesion must be tested in advance for powder coatings, coil coatings and other critical/problematic substrates by trial coatings (test areas) on site.
Processing:
Capacryl Fenster-Lack can be applied by brush, roller or with spraying equipment. Dilute to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water, if necessary, and stir thoroughly before use.
Consumption
Approx. 100 – 130 ml/m2 per coat.Consumption is a reference value and may vary depending on substrate condition. The exact consumption is best established by a trial coating on site.
