648Suitable Substrates
The substrates e.g. roller blind guide rails or opening frames must be sound, dimensionally stable, solid and free from all materials that may prevent good adhesion. The surface should be even and flat for proper adhesion. It is strongly recommended to perform an adhesion test on the original substrate.
Note: To ensure safe installation and avoid improper movements, windows and doors have to be installed in accordance with the applicable directives and state of the art technology.
Substrate Preparation
Remove all materials that may prevent good adhesion.Consumption
per 1.0 m joint: 1 m plus offcutsApplication Conditions
Processing temperature: + 5 °C to + 30 °C for material, atmosphere and substrate during application and curing of mortars.
Installation
The Capatect-Rolladenanschlussprofil has to be attached to the guide rail just before installing the thermal insulation boards.
Cut the profile to the desired length. Remove the protective strip from the self-adhesive tape. Then align the profile and press it firmly onto the guide rail. Finally install the insulation boards flush to the plastic profile.
Allow the adhesive mortar of the thermal insulation boards to cure thoroughly before applying the reinforcement material.
After completion of all necessary steps, cut off the profile at the predetermined break line, to release the integrated flap; the connection profile becomes fully functional.Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures. In Germany: Dispose as construction site waste.
