    Note

Cleaning Advice: Use non-pigmented aqueous household detergents for casually cleaning with a soft, clean micro fibre cloth. Before starting the first cleaning, select a less visible surface area and check the household detergent for compatibility with the paint system. Follow the dosage instruction for detergent and do not use abrasive products. When tinted paint is cleaned, a slight pigment wear of friction may be visible on the micro fibre cloth, depending on the colour and intensity of cleaning.

Gypsum Plasters (Mortar Class PIV / Gypsum Mortar and Ready-Mixed Gypsum Plaster) /
Minimum Compressive Strength according to DIN EN 13279: 2 N/mm2:

Prime with Caparol-Haftgrund. Sand/grind off sintered skin and remove all abrasive dust. Prime with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB.

Gypsum Wallboards: Prime absorbent boards with OptiGrund or Caparol-Tiefgrund TB. Prime highly compacted, smooth boards with Caparol-Haftgrund to improve bonding.

Gypsum Plasterboards (Sandwich-Type Plaster Boards / Am.: Drywalls): Sand/grind off filling burrs. Prime and strengthen soft gypsum areas (repairs with insufficient solidity) with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB. Prime with Caparol-Haftgrund, OptiGrund or CapaSol.
Boards containing water-soluble substances that leave marks must be primed with Caparol AquaSperrgrund. In Germany: Follow BFS Data Sheet No. 12.

Concrete: Remove all residues of separating agent and chalking or sanding substances.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) / Cellular Concrete: Prime with a 1 : 3 mixture of Capaplex and tap (potable) water.

Facing Brickwork and Fair-Faced Sand-Lime Brick Masonry: No preliminary treatment required.

Sound/Stable Existing Coatings: Treat matt, slightly absorbent coatings without a preliminary preparation. Roughen/sand glossy surfaces and enamel coatings. Apply one priming coat of Caparol-Haftgrund.

Unstable Existing Coatings: Remove unsound enamels, dispersion/emulsion/latex paints or synthetic resin-bound (organic) plasters. Prime slightly absorbent, smooth surfaces with Caparol-Haftgrund. Prime highly porous, sanding or absorbent substrates with OptiGrund or CapaSol.
Remove unstable mineral coatings by mechanical means and remove abrasive dust. Prime with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB.

Glue-Bound Distemper (Limewater Colour/Paint): Wash off the existing distemper very thoroughly, allow to dry and prime with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB.

Unpainted Woodchip/Ingrain,  Relief or Embossed Wallpapers made of Paper: Coat without any preliminary treatment.

Non-Adherent Wallpapers: Remove the wallpapers completely and wash off all residues of wallpaper paste/glue and waste paper. Prime the substrate with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB.

Mildewed Surfaces: Remove fungal attack (fungi/mildew/mould) by wet cleaning, then use Capatox or FungiGrund and allow to dry well. Prime according to the type and condition of the substrate.
Apply a finishing coat of Indeko-W, Malerit-W or Fungitex-W on strongly infested surfaces in compliance with legal and official regulations (follow e.g. Ordinance on Biological Agents and Ordinance on Hazardous Substances).Surfaces Stained by Nicotine, Water, Soot or Fat/Grease: Remove nicotine, soot or fat/grease stains by washing with tap water adding a fat-dissolving household detergent, then allow the substrate to dry well. Clean dried-up water stains by dry brushing. Apply an insulating coat of Caparol AquaSperrgrund. Apply one finishing coat of Aqua-inn No. 1 on highly soiled surfaces.

    Method of Application

Applicable with paint brush, paint roller or airless spray equipment.
    Airless Application: Spray angle: 40° - 50°; Nozzle size: 0.017" - 0.019";
Spray pressure: 140 - 160 bar. Stir well and sieve the material before application.
Clean tools/equipment immediately after use with water.

    Surface Coating System

One even, liberally applied coat of PremiumClean, undiluted or diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water. Surfaces with colour contrast or exposed to sided light: One previously applied priming coat, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap water. Prime unevenly absorbent substrates with Caparol-Haftgrund.

For roller application on smooth surfaces use short-pile roller (13 mm piles), e.g. Rotastreif 13 mm.
Apply PremiumClean evenly and roll over in one direction.

    Consumption

Approx. 140 ml/m2 per coat on a smooth substrate. On roughly textured surfaces correspondingly
more. Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.

    Application Conditions

Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:
+5 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.

    Drying/Drying Time

    At +20 °C and 65 % relative humidity surface-dry and recoatable after 4–6 hours.
Completely dry (cured) and ready for stress/cleaning after approx. 14 days.
Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the given time period.

    Note

To avoid lapping, the paint should be applied wet-on-wet and without interruption. A second coat may be necessary to obtain an even gloss level on smooth surfaces and surfaces exposed to sided/grazing light.
Due to the use of Caparol-Tiefgrund TB in interiors, a typical solvent odour is released, hence
proper ventilation must be provided during application and drying.
    Use non-aromatic, low-odour AmphiSilan-Putzfestiger in sensitive areas.
Touching up surfaces is depending on many parameters and may be visible after drying
(In Germany: See BFS Data Sheet No. 25).
Do not use phenol-based disinfectants in order to avoid surface yellowing.
