INSPIRATION FOR ART AND MUSIC
SCHOOL FOR ART AND MUSIC IN WALLDORF
Reduction in the colour design, minimisation of costs and maximising energy efficiency were the main design objectives in the new construction of the School for Art and Music, Walldorf. The maximum energy efficiency is obtained here through the passive-house construction with 30 cm of thermal insulation, so that throughout the usage phase the annual heating costs can be substantially reduced. Visually impressive is the functional design vocabulary which is emphasised by the materials used, i.e. concrete, steel, glass and render with ETICS. Areas painted in green, giving a refreshing effect, lead into the building and provide a positive mood for art and music.
