Field of Application
For coloured design and protection of wooden components with limited dimensional stability (such as wooden cladding, shutters, gates, half-timbering, etc.) and wooden components without dimensional stability (such as boarding, fences, shingles, balcony parapets, pergolas, etc.) as well as for downpipes and gutters made of rigid PVC and zinc sheeting. Can be used outdoors. Before coating panel-shaped wood materials such as e.g. solid wood panels or veneer plywood, please observe the instructions in BFS Leaflet No. 18 Para. 2.2.3 ff. In this case, please contact our advisory service.
Mineralised polymer surface through nano quartz lattice technology for long-lasting clean surfaces without loss of elasticity of the coating film.
With film preservation to protect the coating surface against fungal and algae attack.
In most cases, the film preservative provides years of effective protection against mould and algae infestation of the coating surface. However, the use of film preservatives is limited to an ecologically acceptable level. Depending on the biological load, early infestation may therefore occur in individual cases, despite film preservation. On wood-based panels (e.g. plywood, construction veneer plywood, laminated veneer lumber
etc.), infestation must be expected even before the expiry of the usual warranty periods. Depending on the construction and design, roof soffits are also very susceptible to fungal infestation due to increased condensate load, so that freedom from infestation cannot be guaranteed here either. Apart from constructive, i.e. structural measures, the use of film protection agents is the only possible protection against fungal and algal infestation of the coating surface.

Material Base / Vehicle
NQG-modified plastic dispersion, especially for wooden components.Packaging/Package Size
Standardware:
750 ml, 2,5 Ltr., 10 Ltr.
ColorExpress:
700 ml, 2,4 Ltr., 9,6 Ltr.
Colours
White
Other colours can be tinted via ColorExpress.
When the coating surface is exposed to water, a temporary colour lightening occurs. This appearance is typical for the material and does not affect the functionality of the coating. This also applies to pigment abrasion on the coating surface caused by heavy rubbing.
When using slightly opaque colours (e.g. red, orange, yellow), we recommend a priming coat in the matching priming system colour. Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe Matt is available in priming system colours via ColorExpress.
Colour fastness according to BFS Leaflet No. 26:
Binder: Class A
Pigmentation: Group 1 to 3 depending on colour shade
Gloss Level
Matt
The gloss level may vary depending on the wood surface.
Storage
Please store in a cool place and keep containers tightly closed.

Suitable Substrates
Suitable for limited dimensionally stable and non-dimensionally stable wooden components. The substrate must be clean, sound, dry and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion.
The wood moisture content must not exceed 15 % for limited and non-dimensionally stable wooden components.
The principles of constructive wood preservation must be observed. These are prerequisites for durable wood protection with coating materials (see also BFS Leaflet No. 18).
Substrate Preparation
New wood components:Sand wood surfaces in the direction of the grain, clean thoroughly and remove exuding wood substances such as
z. Remove e.g. resins and resin galls. Break sharp edges.
Old untreated wood:
Sand greyed, weathered wood surfaces down to the sound, load-bearing wood and clean thoroughly. Break sharp edges.
Coated wood:
Completely remove non-stable old coatings down to the sound wood. Sand and clean firmly adhering old coatings.
Zinc, hard PVC:
Ammoniacal wetting agent wash with sanding pad according to BFS No. 5 and 22 or sanding cleaning with sanding pad and Multistar diluted 1 : 5 with water.
Method of Application
New wood components:
Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe Matt is ready-to-use. Apply with brush and roller. Stir before use. Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe Matt is equipped with a film protection agent against fungal and algal attack. Therefore, spraying is only allowed in closed facilities in compliance with environmental and industrial safety regulations.

1) According to BFS Leaflet No. 18 and VOB DIN 18363 Part C, an anti-blue stain impregnation is required on wood components at risk of blue stain.
2) Always use Capalac GrundierWeiß or Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund on wood with water-soluble, discolouring ingredients. Treat knots 2 x.
3) Prepare and prime damaged areas in old coatings according to the respective substrate.
Consumption
Approx. 150 ml/m2
The consumption values are reference values that may vary depending on the substrate and substrate condition. Exact consumption values can only be determined by prior test coatings.
Application Conditions
Material, circulating air and substrate temperature: min. 8 °C (favourable range: 10 to 25 °C).Relative humidity: ≤ 70 %
Drying/Drying Time
