Note

The insulation material is not suitable for spiral anchors and mounting elements such as "DoRondo-PE Montagerondelle" and "ZyRillos Montagezylinder", which are only glued into the insulation material. Attachments are fastened exclusively using the appropriate mounting elements in the insulation thickness. Unrendered insulation boards on the façade must be protected from moisture and coated with reinforced base coat as soon as possible. Damaged insulation boards must not be installed.

Suitable Substrates

Mineral substrates of new buildings or sound/stable, solid existing renders/plasters and other stable coatings (e.g. paint coats).

Substrates

Pre-treat substrates according to the application instructions of the adhesives.

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be clean, dry and load-bearing.
Impurities and separating substances (e.g. formwork oil) as well as protruding mortar burrs must be removed. Damaged, flaking old coats of paint and decorative renders must be removed as far as possible. Hollow areas of rendering are to be knocked off and rendered flush with the surface.
Highly absorbent, sanding or chalking surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned to solid substance and primed with "Sylitol® RapidGrund 111".

Application Conditions

Application temperature:
During application and in the curing phase, the ambient and base coat temperatures must not be below +5 °C and above +30 °C respectively. In Germany: In this context we refer to the comment ATV DIN 18345 point 3.1.3 unsuitable climatic conditions.

Installation

Apply "Capatect CS-Klebe- und Armierungsmörtel 850" as an adhesive over the entire surface with a notched trowel or by bead-shaped adhesive application at the edge of the board and additional dots or strips in the surface, so that an adhesion of at least 70 % per insulation board is achieved.
Laying is staggered by at least 10 cm in a bond. Interlock insulation materials at the building corners. Join insulation boards tightly.
Decouple insulation board joints to other building components stress-free with joint sealing tape.
Leave butt joints and bearing joints of the boards free of adhesive. Butt joints of insulation boards must not be located above the connection zones of different building components (e.g. ring beams, roller shutter boxes, element joints). The insulation boards should bridge at least 10 cm here and be supported on both sides by a secure adhesive bond.
After the adhesive has hardened, fix the insulation boards with the required anchors approved by the building authorities.
Use only "Capatect CS-Klebe- und Armierungsmörtel 850" as base coat on the facade insulation board.

Disposal

Avoid waste by careful cutting and reuse. Nevertheless, dispose of small material residues according to EAK 170604 (insulation material).
