The joint edges must be free of adhesion-reducing residues.

• Produce uniform joint depth (6 mm - 15 mm) and joint width (3 mm - 15 mm) depending on the ceramic to be used.

Take suitable measures to protect the grouting from the effects of weather. Grout may stick to ceramics with slightly porous, matt or irregular surfaces. Therefore, in case of doubt, we recommend always creating a test surface.

Substrate Preparation

The cladding adhesive must be set and thoroughly dry at the time of grouting. The substrate must be even, have a tight surface and be free of adhesion-reducing residues. Remove loose mortar residues.

Ensure that the substrate and the joint edges have an even absorbency. Pre-wet highly absorbent or differently absorbent substrates, remove standing water before grouting.

As a rule, the joints are smoothed or scraped out to an even depth corresponding to the slab thickness after the ceramic cladding has been set and before the cladding adhesive has hardened.

Method of Application

Grouting:
Slurry the grout into the prepared joints with grout rubber or sponge board. Ensure that the joints are completely filled. Remove coarse mortar residues on the ceramic before they dry. After the grout has set, wash the surface with a sponge board without leaving a smear. Make sure that the joints are not washed with too much water. Change wash-off water regularly.
Cleaning and care:
Remove impurities, veils, residues on the ceramic surface with suitable cleaners, at the earliest after 10 days. Follow the instructions of the cleaning agent manufacturer (ask for advice if necessary). If veil removers or other mostly acidic cleaners are used, changes in the colour of the grout may occur. In general, carry out cleaning tests on unobtrusive areas and evaluate them first before working on large areas. Incorrect or improper cleaning may invalidate the warranty of the products used (request recommendation if necessary).

Consumption

Application Conditions

During the application and drying phase, the material, ambient and substrate temperatures must not fall below +5 °C and must not exceed +30 °C.

Do not apply in direct sunlight or on heated surfaces. Protect the grouted surface from direct sunlight. The finished surfaces must be treated and protected from drying out too quickly.

Drying/Drying Time

The curing time depends on temperature, wind and relative humidity. In principle, suitable protective measures (e.g. tarpaulins or nets) must be taken on the façade surface to be worked on or freshly constructed in unfavourable weather conditions.

Protect the freshly applied grout from frost, draughts, precipitation, direct sunlight and high temperatures during the first few days. At high temperatures after application, keep the material damp to prevent it from burning or drying out. At 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity, the slurry grout is surface-dry after 12 hours.

If in doubt, rewetting with clean water will promote an even curing process. In the first few days, depending on the weather conditions, regularly moisten ("mist") the finished grouting with a suitable device, e.g. Gloria sprayer.

Immediately after use with water.

Material Preparation

Pour approx. 4.0 - 5.0 l tap water for 25 kg material (1 bag) into a clean container and mix with a slow-running agitator until a homogeneous mass with an even colour shade has been produced. Always use only clear tap water for mixing. Mix again after approx. 3-5 min. maturing time. Do not mix more material than can be used within 30 minutes. Once the material has set, do not add water to bring it back to a workable state, otherwise setting problems will occur.

In order to ensure uniform colouring, care should be taken to ensure homogeneous mixing, the correct and consistent amount of mixing water and the curing time, especially in the case of heavily pigmented or dark grout colours. Do not mix with other materials.

The mixed grout can be used for about 30 minutes at approx. 20 °C. Higher temperatures shorten the open time, lower temperatures extend it.

Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. May cause respiratory irritation. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Do not breathe dust or mist. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/ eye protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. Store locked up.

Additional information: Wear long trousers. Avoid prolonged skin contact with the render. Immediately clean affected skin thoroughly with water. The longer fresh render remains on your skin, the greater the risk of serious skin damage. It is essential to follow the manufacturer's health and safety instructions during the application phase.

Disposal

Only empty sacks (free-flowing) should be sent for recycling. Can be deposited after solidification in compliance with local authority regulations. Waste should not be disposed of via waste water.
