Field of Application
Non-combustible render carrier boards for covering substrates that are not suitable for adhesion and as a special construction for e.g. shading systems.
Material Properties
- Dimensionally stable
- Non-ageing
- Rotproof

During the application and drying phase, the ambient and substrate temperatures must not be below +5°C and above +30°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog or high humidity. In this context, we refer to the leaflet "Verputzen, Wärmedämmen, Spachteln, Beschichten bei hohen und niedrigen Temperaturen" ("Rendering, Thermal Insulation, Filling, Coating at High and Low Temperatures") from the "Bundesverband Ausbau und Fassade" (Federal Association for Finishing and Facades).
In case of unfavourable weather conditions, take suitable measures to protect the processed facade surfaces.
Installation
Panel cutting:
Panel cutting is preferably done by scribing and breaking.
Produce smooth cut surfaces, for example for outer edges, with a hand-held circular saw with suction or a pendulum stroke jigsaw. The use of a carbide or diamond saw blade is recommended.
Adhesion:
Reduce the insulation thickness in the area of the render carrier boards accordingly by levelling in the adhesive bed and/or the use of 2 cm thinner boards compared to the adjacent façade surfaces.
Adhere "Capatect Putzträgerplatten 090" on the insulation materials with adhesive (e.g. "Capatect Klebe- und Armierungsmasse 186M" or "Capatect Klebe- und Spachtelmasse 190") in a bond or as a row with 2-3 mm joint to each other.
- Bead-dot method with at least 40 % effective adhesion area, adhere close to the edge. Achievable levelling: up to 10 mm.
- Tooth bed method: Apply mortar with a toothed trowel 8 x 8 mm and adhere over the entire surface. Achievable levelling: up to 4 mm with simple tooth bed, up to 6 mm with double tooth bed.
Anchoring:
Anchoring is carried out immediately after adhesion in the fresh adhesive bed.
- Flush with the surface anchoring with "Capatect Universaldübel 053".
- Minimum number of anchors: 5 pcs/board
- Double row anchoring, min. 1 anchor in centre of panel
- Distance between anchors and edge of board: 100 mm
- Distance between anchors: min. 100 mm
Base coat:
Adhere "Gewebeband 060/10" immediately before applying the base coat. Remove the protective foil on the back and adhere the trailing strip centrally over the horizontal and vertical joints.
Provide transitions from render carrier boards to insulation boards and joints above render carrier boards joints with additional double mesh embedding.
Base coat to be applied with a layer thickness of at least 4 mm are e.g. "Capatect Klebe- und Spachtelmasse 190", "Capatect Klebe- und Armierungsmasse 186M", "170", "133 LEICHT" or "Capatect OrCa-Spachtel" each with "Capatect Gewebe 650".
Special equipment:
The free edge of the board as a render finish is preferably formed with the "Capatect Raffstore PTP-Profil 678/07 (18/40/2)", which is riveted with the fastener "Capatect Plattenniet 093 (Ø 5.0 K14)", pre-drill 5 mm. Panel joints are bridged with the angle profile.
Alternatively, the "Capatect Aufsteckprofil 664/00" with mesh can be used without joint.
Installation, Fixing, Cut
When using elasticised polystyrene and mineral wool with low transverse tensile strength, the insulation thickness is limited to 200 mm.
Carry panels upright or transport them with a panel roller or on pallets. Do not damage corners and edges when setting down.
Unrendered "Capatect Putzträgerplatten 090" on the façade must be protected from moisture, direct sunlight and frost and coated with reinforced base coat as soon as possible. Damaged "Capatect Putzträgerplatten 090" must not be installed.
Disposal
Dispose of wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures and national regulations. Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities.
