5 litres can, 1 litre can
Colours
Transparent
Storage
Cool, dry, and frost-free.
Tightly closed, original cans have a shelf life of 12 months. Do not store in the sun or at temperatures above 30 °C.
Density
approx. 1.0 g/cm3
Suitable Substrates
Clinker brickwork, sand-lime bricks, sandstone, concrete, artificial stone, cement-based and lime renders/plasters, as well as absorbent, mineral paint coatings.
The tint of light-coloured substrates might be intensified. The substrate must be sound/stable, clean, frost resistant, permanently dry, free from inclusions, loose particles and separating materials. The penetration of water and moisture in cracks, joints, coarse-textured pores, etc., must be excluded.
Substrate Preparation
Prepare with suitable means to match the substrate requirements. The soundness/stability of the substrate is to be checked before applying further coatings.
Preparation of Material
Mix 1 part by weight of the concentrate with 9 parts by weight of tap (potable) water. Mix only such a quantity of material that can be applied within 12 hours.
If used as a hydrophobic impregnation in the OS-B Surface Protection System, the concentrate is to be mixed in a 1 : 4 ratio with tap (potable) water.
Method of Application
Apply mixed material by brush, flow-coating method or with hand spray equipment (e.g. piston pump from Keller Inc, Gloria-Garden spray gun or SATA pressure tank spreader). Airless application is possible with reduced pressure. Apply several, but at least two saturating coats, depending on the absorption of substrates. For concrete without subsequent coatings: Apply three coats wet-on-wet, using the flow-coating method.
Note: Mask windows and other component parts. Wash impurities immediately with tap water to avoid the forming of irreversible stains. Wash compact substrates, e.g. clinkers or exposed aggregate concrete, with a wet cloth or sponge approx. 2 hours after having finished the application. |
Consumption
Impregnation / priming coat: Approx. 200 – 400 ml of mixed material per coat, depending on the substrate absorbency (corresponds to approx. 20 – 40 ml/m2 of concentrate when mixed in a 1 : 9 ratio).
Application Conditions
Min. 5 °C and max. 30 °C for material, ambient air and substrate.
Drying/Drying Time
At 20 °C and 60% relative humidity rainproof after approx. 4 hours and recoatable after approx. 24 hours.
Tool Cleaning
Immediately after use with water.

Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)
Flammable.
Risk of serious damage to eyes. Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
Keep out of reach of children. Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Do not breathe vapour/ aerosol/spray dust. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Do not empty into drains, water courses and onto the ground.
Wear eye/face protection. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible). Use only in well-ventilated areas.
Material mixed with water is non-flammable and without any risk of serious damage to eyes, but the solution is still irritating to eyes.
Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be paid to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures. In Germany: Only completely emptied containers should be given for recycling. Containers with residues of material must be delivered to a collecting point for old enamels.

CE Labelling
EN 1504-2CE labelling is based on EN 1504-2 "Products and systems for protection and repair of concrete load bearing structures – Part 2: Protective coating systems for concrete surfaces”, defining the requirements for surface protection procedures.
Products matching the above mentioned standards are to be labelled with the CE mark. Additional engineer standards are effective for the use in Germany in structural safety relevant areas. Conformity is documented by the Ü sign (Überwachung = supervision) on the container. Established by documented evidence of conformity 2+ with controls and tests on the part of the manufacturer and notified bodys.
