Preface

DAW SE (hereinafter: "we") as provider of the app "SPECTRUM_mobile" (the "app") is the body responsible for the collection, processing and use of personal data of users of the app. We take the protection of your privacy and your private data very seriously. We collect, process and use your personal data only in accordance with the contents of this data protection declaration and the applicable data protection laws.

With this data protection declaration we would like to inform you which personal data we collect, process and use about you in connection with the use of the app.

Personal Data

Personal data in the sense of this declaration are details of your personal or factual circumstances. This includes all information about your identity, such as your name, e-mail address or postal address. Information that cannot be associated with your identity (such as a single location) does not count as personal information.

You can use the app without disclosing your identity or personal data. However, if you wish to contact us, we will ask you for your name and other personal information. It is your free decision whether you enter this data. We always point out which information is required for the use of the individual information (mandatory information).

Mandatory information is required if you want to use the datacolor colorimeter, the ColorReaderPRO (CRP). The app includes functions for synchronizing CRP content and for general communication with the app via Bluetooth® technology. In order to be able to use this range of functions accordingly, the colorimeter must initially be registered once with your name and an e-mail address.

Recording the use of the app

Each time you access the app, we collect the current date and other connection data, such as the IP address of the device on which the app is installed. It also records the amount of data transferred, reports on successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user's operating system, IP address and the requesting provider.

In order to improve the app in particular, we log the type and scope of use of the app, for example the frequency with which certain functions of the app are called and other general conditions of use.

Storage and use of your data

Your data is collected, stored and processed solely for the purpose of providing you with the various functions of the app. Your data will not be linked to other data and will not be used for any other purposes. Insofar as external service providers are used by us within the scope of the provision of services, their access to the data also takes place exclusively for the purpose of the provision of services. Through technical and organisational measures, we ensure compliance with data protection regulations and also oblige our external service providers to do so.

Furthermore, we will not pass the data on to third parties without your express consent, in particular not for advertising purposes. Your personal data will only be passed on if you yourself have consented to the data being passed on or if we are entitled or obliged to do so on the basis of legal regulations and/or official or court orders. In particular, this may involve providing information for law enforcement, security purposes or the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

However, we reserve the right to evaluate the general usage behaviour for our own purposes and to use the data thus obtained under our own responsibility; in this case, however, we will ensure that the data is made anonymous beforehand or that no reference to you or other users can be established in any other way.

The transmission of data via our app is always encrypted. We use the SSL standard (Secure Socket Layer) for encryption.

Location information

The app allows you to share your location. In this case, the app accesses the position data of your device. We collect your current location via GPS so that we can quickly provide you with information about your immediate surroundings. Information about your location will only be used to process your request. Your location data is transmitted via an encrypted connection. Your location data will be anonymized after completion of your request and statistically evaluated to improve our service. You can allow or deny access to the location at any time in the settings of your operating system.

Access to camera

To use the Live Video and Photo modules, the camera of your device is to be released. For the two modules, your immediate environment is captured by the camera so that design changes can be made to the image worlds supplied via the camera interface. Any further acquisition and storage of camera data will not take place or only if you load image data onto the server (SPECTRUM_cloud) for further use. You can allow or disallow access to the camera at any time in the settings of your operating system.

Push Notifications

If you allowed this during installation, the app can send push messages to your smartphone. We use push messages to inform you about particularly important news about content updates or new functions. You can allow or disallow the reception of push messages at any time in the settings of your operating system.

Server logs

Our web space provider collects data about every access to the app offer (so-called server log files). Access data includes:

Name of the web service accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

We use the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the app. However, we reserve the right to check the log data subsequently if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third party content is integrated within this app. By default these are for example videos from YouTube and maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are also possible. This always requires the IP address of the user to be transmitted to the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third party providers"). Without the IP address, the content could not be sent to the app of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the contents. However, we have no influence on this if the third party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we inform the users about this.

Contact details

If you wish to use the contact form in our app, personal data such as name and e-mail address will be requested. We collect and use the data transmitted via the contact form exclusively for the purpose of being able to answer your inquiry or your request.

After we have dealt with the matter, the data will initially be stored in the event of any queries. A deletion of the data can be requested at any time, otherwise the deletion takes place after complete completion of the matter.

Further information

Children and young people under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not specifically request personal data from children or young people, do not consciously collect it and do not pass it on to third parties.

You have a right to information about the personal data that has been stored about you. In addition, you have the right to correction of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of your personal data, insofar as there is no legal obligation to store such data.
