Material Base / Vehicle
Polymer modified, cement-bound dry mortar premix.
Packaging/Package Size
15 kg bag
Storage
Dry, shelf life is min. 9 months (from date of manufacture); low chromate content: 9 months.
Bulk density
approx. 1.19 kg/m3Adesive tensile strength
28 d > 1.5 N/mm2Suitable Substrates
Reinforcing steel, normal, heavy and lightweight concrete. The average adhesive tensile strength of the substrate must be 1.5 N/mm2, with a single minimum value of 1.0 N/mm2.Substrate Preparation
Derust reinforcing steel rods to DIN EN ISO 12944-4 (substitution of DIN 55 928, part 4) or ISO 8501-1 according to industry standard Sa 2 ½ (rate of surface preparation). Derusted steel must be free of dust and fat/grease.
The substrate must be sound/stable, clean and free from all loose material that may prevent good adhesion. Brittle or loose concrete, concrete containing corrosive substances, e.g. chlorides, must also be thoroughly removed by suitable means, along with any remnants of paint, oil, fat/grease or release agents. In the same way, surface laitance should be removed using suitable means. This should be removed to such a depth that bonding agent (slurry) and repair mortar would find sufficient adhesion to the treated surface. The edges of spalled or damaged areas must be bevelled (45° – 60°). The substrate must be pre-wetted and should present a matt moist surface aspect prior to the application of bonding agent.
Preparation of Material
The contents of a 15 kg bag of Disbocret® 713 is gradually mixed into measured quantity of tap/potable water, and agitated with a suitable low-speed electrical paddle (agitator; max. 400 rpm) for approx. 3 minutes until the slurry is free of lumps and has a homogeneous consistency, easy to spread.
Mixing Ratio
Dry mortar premix | Potable Water |
1 part by weight | 0.25 parts by weight |
15 kg bag | Approx. 3.75 l |
Method of Application
As anti-corrosive protection:
Apply the first anti-corrosive layer generously with a brush, immediately after having finished with rust removal. Apply a second layer after a waiting approx. 20 minutes at 20 °C. Take care in coating the reinforcing steel rods thoroughly and completely (all around). Allow the second layer to harden for approx. 20 minutes at 20 °C and apply the bonding bridge (adhesion promoter).
As bonding slurry:
Apply an even layer using a brush, blending the material intensively to the prepared substrate, filling all pores. Apply the subsequent layer of reprofiling mortar wet-on-wet. When the bonding slurry is cured prematurely before having applied the repair mortar (e.g. caused by a work stoppage), the complete layer must be removed and then applied once again.
Layer Thickness
Anti-corrosive protection: min. 1 mmConsumption
Anti-corrosive protection:Approx. 150 g/m dry mortar per layer, Ø 16 mm.
Bonding bridge:
Approx. 1.5 – 1.6 kg/m2 dry mortar, depending on the substrate.
Workability
Approx. 360 minutes at 5 °C, approx. 180 minutes at 20 °C, approx. 90 minutes at 30 °C.Application Conditions
Material, atmospheric, and substrate temperature:Min. 10 °C, max. 30 °C during application and drying.
Tool Cleaning
Immediately after use with water.

CE Labelling
EN 1504-7
"Products and systems for protection and repair of concrete load-bearing structures-Part 7: Reinforcement corrosion protection”, defining the requirements for the surface protection proceeding. Products matching the above mentioned standards are to be labelled with the CE mark. Additional engineer standards are effective for the use in Germany in structural safety relevant areas. Conformity is documented by the Ü sign (Überwachung = supervision) on the container. Established by documented evidence of conformity 2+ with controls and tests on the part of the manufacturer and notified bodys.
