Concrete, DisboCRET® filling compounds, mineral renders/plasters and stable existing coatings. The average adhesive tensile (pull-off) strength of substrates must be ≥ 1.0 N/mm2, with a minimum individual value of 0.5 N/mm2.
Substrate Preparation
Mineral undergrounds:
The substrate must be clean and free of loose parts. Remove all separating substances (e.g. oil and fat/grease) by suitable means. Remove strong soiling such as moss and algae attack and vitreous, non-adherent cement stone/laitance, e.g. by blasting with solid medium.
Coated substrates:
Check existing coats of paint for sufficient adhesion to the substrate. Due to differnt types of existing coatings, the proper function of planned surface coating systems must previously be checked by coating a test area on site.
Exterior Substrates:
Exterior renders in mortar groups/classes PII (lime-cement mortars) and PIII (cement mortars):
New renders/plasters must be left untreated for a sufficiently long time, normally for 2 weeks at 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. Adverse weather conditions, e.g. influenced by wind or rain, extend the curing process and correspondingly longer holding times must be respected. The risk of calcareous efflorescence on alkaline finish renders of mortar classes PII and PIII can be minimised by an additional priming coat of CapaGrund Universal and the finishing render can be coated after a holding time of 7 days.
Existing renders:
Repairs must have adequate time to cure and dry. On highly porous, absorbent, slightly sanding renders apply one priming coat of CapaSol LF Konzentrat (Concentrate), diluted 1 : 4 with tap (potable) water.
Concrete:
On slightly absorbent or smooth surfaces: apply one priming coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water. prime strongly absorbent surfaces with CapaSol LF Konzentrat (Concentrate), diluted 1 : 4 with tap (potable) water.
All spalling, cracks, surface irregularities and roughness, pores and shrinkage holes must be repaired using suitable materials of the Disbocret® System according to the manufacturer's recommendations, to achieve an even and sufficiently thick protective coating.
Stable existing coatings of enamel and dispersion/emulsion paint:
Roughen the surface of gloss coats and enamels. Clean soiled, chalking coats of paint by high-pressure water jet, wash by hand or use other suitable means, always in compliance with the regulations.
Apply one priming coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water.
Stable existing coatings of plasto-elastic (resilient) dispersion/emulsion paint:
Clean soiled, chalking coats of paint by high-pressure water jet, wash by hand or use other suitable means, always in compliance with the regulations. Allow the substrate to dry thoroughly. For coating such substrates Disbocret 530 OS Reflect should only be applied in White or use light to medium colour shades of lightness index (LI) > 60.
Stable coatings of synthetic (organic) render:
Clean existing renders by suitable means. Allow wet cleaned surfaces (in compliance with local regulations) to dry thoroughly before any further treatment. Apply one priming coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water.
Galvanised Surfaces:
Surface cleaning in compliance with German BFS-Merkblatt (Data/Fact Sheet) No. 5. Apply one priming coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water. Whitish efflorescence on galvanised surfaces may occur with tinted paint coats in adverse moisture conditions (high exposure to moisture). Wipe away (dry) and apply one additional coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect.
Unplasticized (hard) PVC:
Clean and slightly roughen/sand the surface. Apply one priming coat of Disbocret 530 OS Reflect, diluted to a max. of 5 % with tap (potable) water. Germany: Follow BFS-Merkblatt (Data/Fact Sheet) No. 22.
Coil coatings:
Clean with an ammoniacal solution of wetting agents. Prime with Disbocret 530 OS Reflect. Note: Do not coat coil coatings with content of silicone, thus always a trial coating must be effected, followed by a check for proper adhesion.
Interior Substrates:
Interior plasters in mortar groups/classes PII and PIII:
Solid plasters wit normal absorbency can be coated without any pre-treatment.
On highly porous, sanding, absorbent plasters apply one priming coat of CapaSol LF Konzentrat (Concentrate), diluted 1 : 4 with tap (potable) water
Plasterboard panels:
On absorbent panels: Apply one priming coat of CapaSol LF Konzentrat, diluted 1 : 4 with tap (potable) water.
Concrete:
Remove all separating agent (formwork oil residues) and chalking, sanding substances.
AAC / cellular concrete:
Prime with Capaplex, diluted 1 : 3 with tap (potable) water.
Fair-faced calcium silicate (sand-lime) brick masonry and facing brickwork:
Coat without any pre-treatment..
Sound/stable coatings:
Matt (flat), slightly absorbent coatings can directly be coated.

Horizontal, uncoated surfaces of balconies must be free of cavities (shrink holes) and sufficiently inclined for proper run of water. Prime such surfaces with Disboxid 420 E.MI Primer and scatter with quartz sand Disboxid 942 Mischquarz, followed by one intermediate and one finishing (top) coat.
Consumption
Approx. 120 ml/m2 per coat.Application Conditions
Material, Ambient Air and Substrate Temperature:Temperature must remain at a min. of 5 °C, max. 40 °C.
Drying/Drying Time
At +20 °C and 65 % relative humidity surface-dry and recoatable after 4 - 6 hours, rain-resistant after 24 hours. Completely dry and ready for stress (loadable) after approx. 3 days. Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time.Facades in special climatic conditions (high degree of moisture) or subjected to a higher influence of atmospheric exposure: It is recommended to apply products provided with special agents delaying the forming of organic growth (fungi & algae).
In case of moist weather conditions (rain, dew, fog) yellowish transparent traces of additives, showing a slightly glossy shine and stickiness, may occur on the surface of compact, cool substrates or by means of delayed drying caused by the weather. The traces of additives are water-soluble and will disappear under the influence of a sufficient water quantity, e.g. repeated intensive rainfalls. The quality of the dried coating will not be affected by these changes. In case of direct reworking, all traces of additives must be pre-wetted and completely removed after a short reaction time. An additional priming coat of CapaGrund Universal must be applied. The traces cannot occur when the material is applied under suitable climatic conditions.
