Capacryl TriMaXX Venti

The block resistant allround lacquer
  • LV Texte

    Field of Application

Water-thinnable one-pot varnish for dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable wooden components such as windows and doors with old sanded alkyd resin and dispersion varnishes. Varnish for primed metal and rigid PVC surfaces for exterior and interior use. Capacryl TriMaXX Venti is a building enamel for non-traffic, vertically applied building material surfaces in building construction. Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe NQG/Matt should be used for roof soffits and non dimensionally stable wood components, e.g. on facades.

    • High hiding power on surfaces and component edges
    • Very good stability and high paint safety
    • Block resistant
    • Moisture ventilating
    • Fast drying
    • Direct adhesion to sanded alkyd resin paints
    • Suitable for children's toys according to DIN EN 71-3

    Suitable Substrates

Dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable wooden components as well as primed metal and rigid PVC surfaces in interior and exterior building construction. The substrates must be clean, adherant, dry and free from separating substances. The wood moisture content must not exceed 13 % for dimensionally stable wooden components and 15 % for wooden components with limited dimensional stability. The application on sports equipment, furniture, vehicles, ships/boats, machinery, equipment, etc. is not intended. The suitability must be checked in individual cases. For roof soffits and wooden components that are not dimensionally stable, e.g. on facades, Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe NQG/Capadur Wetterschutzfarbe Matt should be used due to the lack of film protection against fungal attack. For building material surfaces that are frequently touched, such as z. e.g. handrails in highly frequented areas such as day-care centres, clinics, catering establishments, educational institutions, etc, please use Capalac Aqua 2K PU-Lack or PremiumCare 2K-Lack.

    Substrate Preparation

    Wooden components:
Observe BFS Leaflet No. 18 "Coatings on wood and wood building materials". Sand wood surfaces in the direction of the grain, clean thoroughly and remove escaping wood substances such as
e.g. resins and resin galls. Break off sharp edges. If necessary, apply a preventive impregnation against blue stain fungus attack (observe permissible areas of application for wood preservatives). On white and light-colored paintwork, apply a barrier primer against discoloring wood ingredients, if necessary.

    Iron, steel:
Prepare iron and steel to standard cleanliness level SA 2 1⁄2 (blasting) or ST 3 (machine) according to DIN EN ISO 12944-4. Apply suitable corrosion protection primer.

    Aluminum:
Observe BFS Leaflet No. 6 "Coatings made of aluminum components". Clean with Universal Thinner or Gescha Multi-Star with plastic sanding pad. Prime e.g. with Capacryl Haftprimer (do not use on anodized aluminum).

    Hard PVC:

Observe BFS Leaflet No. 22 "Coatings on plastic in building construction". Clean rigid PVC surfaces with Gescha Multi-Star and plastic sanding pad. Sand with abrasive <180 grit. Vacuum off sanding dust. Apply primer with Capacryl Haftprimer.

    Old coatings:
Sand and clean adherend alkyd resin paints and/or acrylic dispersion paints.

    Method of Application

Capacryl TriMaXX Venti can be applied with long bristle acrylic paint brushes especially for waterborne coatings. Short-pile coating rollers are suitable for roller application, followed by fine-pore foam coating rollers for the optimum surface finish. Airless is the ideal spraying method. Stir well before use.

    1) In the case of white and light-colored coatings, it may be necessary to block off wood ingredients.
    2) On dimensionally stable wooden components (windows), an additional intermediate coat must be applied in accordance with BFS-Merkbalt No. 18.
    3) This refers to alkyd resin coatings and acrylic dispersion architectural coatings. An adhesion test must be carried out on 2 Component coatings, powder coatings, coil coatings or other factory coatings and, if necessary, an EP adhesion primer must be used.
    4) Damaged areas in old coatings must be pretreated according to the respective substrate.
