Note
Due to different facts (such as tensions and movements in the area of the profile joints), the painting of the joints may have fine cracks in the surface, which in extreme cases may lead to a visual defect, but not to a technical defect.
Substrates
Joint edges must be free of adhesion-reducing residues.
Prime highly absorbent surfaces with DisboADD 236 Fugenprimer. Note ventilation time.
Substrate Preparation
Substrates must be clean, dry and sound. Contaminants and other substances (eg formwork oil) as well as protruding mortar burrs are to be removed. Defective, flaking paint and blistering textured renders should be removed.
For joints over building joints, dimension the joints by filling the depth first with closed-cell PE round cords.
Dimension the joints as per DIN 18540. It is advisable to perform an adhesion test on every surface first.
Consumption
290 ml sealant (~ 1 cartridge) yields for:
- approx. 12.4 m joint (5x5 mm)
- approx. 3.1 m joint (10x10 mm)
The exact material requirement is best established by trials on site.
Application Conditions
Processing temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C during application and curing for sealant, substrate and ambient air. Do not apply under direct sunlight.
Drying/Drying Time
At 23 ° C and 50% RH starts skin forming after 10 minutes followed by the hardening down to 2 mm in the first 24 hours depending of temperature and RH.
Low temperatures or low RH delay the drying.
Before further processing the joint filler must be completely dry.
Tool Cleaning
Immediately after use with white spirit. Already stiffened material can only be mechanically removed.
Installation
Apply Capatect Fugenmasse MS in well prepared joints as homogen plot .
Smooth before skin formation with the help of tap water or neutral, non-staining, water based smoothing agents.
Please Note (Status as at Date of Publication)
If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of the reach of children.
Disposal
Paste-like material remnants can be disposed off as waste of water-miscible adhesives, dried-on material residues as cured adhesives or as household waste.
