Solvent-based, single-coat stain insulating paint for interior use.
Scrub-resistant and highly covering.
Field of Application
Solvent-based interior paint, free from aromatic hydrocarbons, with high opacity (hiding power).Particularly suitable as single-coat stain insulating paint on surfaces soiled by nicotine stains or dried-up water spots.
Complete insulation of stains is oftentimes reached with one coat of Dupa-inn Nº 1.
For unproblematic use on polystyrene, due to its insulating capacity without dissolving the surface.

Colours
White.Can be tinted to a max. of 2 % with Universal-Abtönkonzentrat MIXOL® Oxyd types (tinting concentrates).
If more than one bucket is manually tinted, all product must be thoroughly mixed before use in order to avoid colour differences.
Quantities of 100 litres or more in pastel colour shades may be ordered ready-tinted ex factory.

Suitable Substrates
The substrate must be sound/stable, dry, clean, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18 363, section 3.Substrate Preparation
Solid mineral substrates with low absorbency and sound/stable existing matt paint coatings require no preliminary treatment. Prime sanding, highly absorbent substrates and soft, sanded gypsum plasters with Caparol-Tiefgrund TB or Amphisilan-Putzfestiger.Remove nicotine, soot or fat/grease stains by washing with tap water adding a fat-dissolving household detergent, then allow the substrate to dry well. Clean dried-up water stains by dry brushing.
Small Defects:
After having completed the necessary preparations, repair small defects with Caparol-Akkordspachtel in accordance with our instructions for processing, and if necessary, prime subsequently.
Method of Application
Apply with solvent-resistant paint brushes, rollers or suitable airless equipment.Airless application:
Spray angle: 50° Nozzle size: 0.021" Spray pressure: 150 – 180 bar (undiluted)
Sieve the material before airless application. Clean tools immediately after use with white spirit or brush cleaner.
Surface Coating System
One even, liberally applied coat of undiluted Dupa-inn Nº 1.Surfaces with colour contrast: One previously applied first or intermediate coat of Dupa-inn Nº 1.
Prime unevenly absorbent surfaces with CapaGrund Universal.
Consumption
Approx. 180 ml/m2 per coat on smooth substrates. On roughly textured surfaces correspondingly more. Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.Application Conditions
Lower Temperature Limit for Application:Dupa-inn Nº 1 is frost-resistant and applicable on dry, ice-free substrates.
Provide for a minimum material temperature of +10 ° C to achieve good working properties.
Drying/Drying Time
At +20 °C and 65 % relative humidity surface-dry after 4 – 6 hours. Recoatable after approx. 12 hours. Completely cured and ready for stress after approx. 2 weeks. Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity extend the drying time.Note
The application of solvent-based materials in rooms used for the storage of foodstuffs and beverages is prohibited. For this purpose the application of Caparol AquaSperrgrund with a solvent-free final coating, for e.g. with Indeko-plus, is recommended.In the initial stage, after the application of Dupa-inn N° 1, evaporation of solvents might become apparent for the olfactory sense. Hence proper ventilation of rooms during the first days can shorten the time of evaporation. In sensitive areas apply AquaSperrgrund or Aqua-inn Nº 1.
Dupa-inn Nº 1 is unsuitable for coatings in areas constantly exposed to water vapour. Apply the paint wet-on-wet without interruption to avoid lapping. Due to the different types of dissolved soiling in the substrate a preliminary test application is recommended.

Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.In Germany: Only completely empty containers should be handed in for recycling. Dispose containers with residues of liquid product via waste collection point accepting old paints and enamels. Dispose dried/hardened product residues as construction site/demolition/municipal or domestic waste.
