Suitable SubstratesThe substrate must be stable, dry/cured, clean, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18363, section 3.
Substrate PreparationPlease see Technical Information No. 650 "Substrates and their preparation" for further information.
Method of Application
Apply with solvent-resistant coating tools.
ThinningProduct is only to be diluted with Dupa-grund.
Surface Coating SystemDilute Dupa-Haftgrund up to a max. of 20 % with Dupa-grund for use on highly absorbent substrates. On compact, non-absorbing substrates dilute up to a max. of 10 % with Dupa-grund.
ConsumptionApprox. 180 - 220 ml/m2 on an even surface, according to substrate condition. On rough-textured substrates correspondingly more.
Application ConditionsLower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:
The product is applicable even in frosty conditions, provided that the substrate is dry and ice-free.
Drying/Drying TimeAt +20 °C and 65 % relative humidity coatable after approx. 12 hours. Lower temperature and higher humidity extend the drying time.
ToolsOnly use solvent-resistant paint brushes or rollers, to achieve good priming results.
