The consumption data are approximate values without bulk and shrinkage loss. Object-dependent or processing-related deviations must be taken into account.

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be even, clean, dry, sound, load-bearing and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. In Germany, observe VOB, Part C, DIN 18 363, Para. 3.
Coatings of varnish, dispersion paint or synthetic resin plaster that are not load-bearing and mineral coatings that are not load-bearing must be completely removed. Clean adherent coatings dry or wet.

Clean surfaces affected by mould, moss or algae by means of pressurised water jets, observing the legal regulations. Wash with Capatox and allow the surfaces to dry thoroughly. Clean surfaces soiled by industrial fumes or soot by pressure water jetting with the addition of suitable cleaning agents and in compliance with the legal regulations.

For grain sizes < 2.0 mm, additional pre-treatment of the base coat may be necessary.

Method of Application

Apply the render over the entire surface with a stainless steel trowel or a suitable fine plaster spraying machine and scrape off to grain size. Immediately afterwards, use a plastic trowel or a PU board to rub down the scratch plasters evenly in a round shape, and texture the rubbing plasters either horizontally, vertically or in a round shape. The choice of tool influences the roughness profile of the surface, therefore always work with the same texturing discs.

When spraying, the nozzle to be selected depends on the grain size. (Nozzle size = grain size x 4) The working pressure should be 0.3-0.4 MPa (3-4 bar). When spraying, particular care should be taken to ensure an even application of material and to avoid overlaps at the scaffold layers.

To achieve a uniform structure, contiguous surfaces should always be applied by the same craftsman to avoid structural deviations due to different "handwriting". To avoid lapping, a sufficient number of workers should be employed on each scaffold layer and work should be carried out quickly, wet on wet.

Due to the use of natural aggregates, slight colour variations are possible. Therefore, only apply material of the same production number on continuous surfaces or mix material of different production numbers beforehand. Capatect Muresko facade renders are not suitable for horizontal surfaces exposed to water.

Surface Coating System

The PutzGrund 610 to be used as a primer or intermediate coat must be tinted to the render colour when subsequently applying coloured render. Primer or intermediate coats must be dry before further processing.

Capatect ETICS:
New mineral base coats: Prime with PutzGrund 610. New cement-free base coats: No priming required. Base coats weathered by prolonged standing time (e.g. wintering): Prime with PutzGrund 610.

Renders of mortar groups PII and PIII:
New renders can be coated after sufficient standing time, usually after 2 weeks, at approx. 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. In unfavourable weather conditions, e.g. influenced by wind or rain, significantly longer standing times must be observed. An additional priming coat of CapaGrund Universal reduces the risk of lime efflorescence, so that the finishing render can be coated after a standing time of only 7 days. Intermediate coat with PutzGrund 610.

Old renders:
Finishing plasters must be well set and dry. On coarsely porous, absorbent, slightly sanding renders, apply one priming coat of OptiSilan TiefGrund. Apply one intermediate coat of PutzGrund 610. Apply one priming coat of Dupa-Putzbefestiger on heavily sanding, chalking renders. Intermediate coat with PutzGrund 610.

Concrete:
Clean concrete surfaces with dirt deposits or floury grain layer mechanically or by pressure water jetting, observing the legal regulations. Prime coarsely porous, slightly sanding or absorbent surfaces with OptiSilan TiefGrund. Prime chalky surfaces with Dupa-Putzfestiger. Intermediate coat with PutzGrund 610.

Load-bearing, matt dispersion paint coatings:
Recoat matt, slightly absorbent coatings directly. Clean soiled, chalking old coatings by pressure water jetting, observing the legal regulations. If other cleaning methods are used (washing off, brushing off, spraying off), prime with Dupa-Putzbefestiger. Intermediate coat with PutzGrund 610.

Load-bearing silicate paints:
Coat with Sylitol or AmphiSilan materials.

Application Conditions

During The application and in the drying phase, the ambient and substrate temperatures must not be below +5 °C and above +30 °C.

Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog or high humidity. In this context, we refer to the leaflet "Verputzen, Wärmedämmen, Spachteln, Beschichten bei hohen und tiefen Temperaturen" (Plastering, Thermal Insulation, Filling, Coating at High and Low Temperatures) from the Bundesverband Ausbau und Fassade (Federal Association for Finishing and Facades).

During The application and in the drying phase, the ambient and substrate temperatures must not be below +5 °C and above +30 °C. Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog or high humidity. If there is strong air movement on the component surface at the time of application and drying, there is a risk of shrinkage cracking and pore formation in the finishing render.  In this context, we refer to the leaflet "Verputzen, Wärmedämmen, Spachteln, Beschichten bei hohen und tiefen Temperaturen" (Rendering, Thermal Insulation, Filling, Coating at High and Low Temperatures) from the Bundesverband Ausbau und Fassade (Federal Association for Finishing and Facades).

Drying/Drying Time

At 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity, the render is surface-dry after 24 hours. Fully dry, loadable and paintable after 2-3 days.

The render dries physically, i.e. by film formation of the dispersion and by evaporation of the moisture. Particularly in the cool season and with high humidity, there is therefore a delay in drying.

If necessary, protect the finished surface of the finishing plaster until sufficient weather resistance is achieved.

Tool Cleaning

Immediately after use with water.

Material Preparation

Stir Capatect Muresko Fassadenputz thoroughly with a low-speed stainless steel agitator. If necessary adjust to working consistency with tap water (max. 1 % if manually applied and max. 2 % for spray application).

Note

Capatect Muresko Fassadenputz is a product that is equipped with special active ingredients against fungal and algae formation at the surface. This depot of active ingredients provides a long-lasting, but temporary protection. The duration of its effectiveness is influenced by object conditions, such as the strength of the infestation and the moisture load. Therefore, a permanent prevention of fungal and algae growth is not possible.
