Tintable, matt (flat) synthetic resin filling compound for creating decorative interior walls.Material Properties
- Easy to apply.
- Characteristic visual appearance.
- Intensive colour brilliance.
- Efficient and safe working method.
- AgBB-tested.

Colours

Tintable via the ColorExpress machine system in approx. 1,300 colour shades of colour fan desks
Caparol 3D plus and CaparolColor.
Stir tinted product thoroughly before applying, either manually or using slow-turning agitator.
The properties of Stucco Satinato (typical for this type of material), have an influence on the chosen type of filling technique, highly depending on the colour. Darker colour shades normally show a more noticeable marking than light shades.
Always use tinted product of same batch, when applying on seamless surfaces, to avoid colour differences. Quantities of 100 litres or more in individual colours may be ordered ready-tinted ex factory.
Organic pigmented colours (e.g. red and orange) may change in colour in areas subjected to strong natural light (daylight).

Suitable Substrates
Interior surfaces: Mineral plasters in mortar groups PII (lime-cement mortars), PIII (cement mortars),
PIV (gypsum mortar and ready-mixed gypsum plaster), plasterboards, gypsum wallboards and
concrete.
The substrates must be dry, clean, sound/stable, planar (trowelled up smoothly), without any colour
contrast, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion.
Follow technical Information No. 650 for substrate preparation.
In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18 363, section 3.
Substrate Preparation
Coarse/roughly textured substrates, plasterboard walls and all walls and ceilings subjected to grazing light: Apply one priming coat of Caparol-Haftgrund. Then apply 1 – 2 full surface coats of Caparol-Akkordspachtel fine (surfacer) up to approx. quality level/classification Q4. Intermediate
sanding after drying (up to P200-240 grit). Then prime with CapaSol in order to equalize the
absorption capacity and for embedding dust particles.
Substrates matching approx. quality level Q4 can directly be coated with a priming coat of Indeko-plus provided that this paint coat is rolled over the full surface using special roller Caparol Feinroller.
When using other tools the substrate texture can remain visible after having finished the 2nd filler application of Stucco Satinato and then has to be removed by subsequent filler treatments.
Method of Application
Stucco Satinato must be stirred up very thoroughly before applying, to avoid unmixed bond to the base or borders of the bucket. Use stirring staff or slow-turning electrically driven paddle mixer. Do not use sharp-edged agitators. The rocking motion after tinting is insufficient.
Apply a thin coat of Stucco Satinato in spotted filling technique and always draw off to the substrate (base level). Then, after a short flash off (drying) time the open/untreated areas are to be covered in the spotted filling technique.
The second working step is effected in the same working method like the first coat.
Individual surface design (visual appearance) is possible by varying the working technique.
Note: Filling burrs should always be avoided. Use only such a limited quantity of product on the scraper that can be applied within the drying time. The drying of material on scrapers has to be avoided.
Consumption
Approx. 80 – 100 ml/m2 per coat. Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.Application Conditions
Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:+5 °C for product, ambient air and substrate.
Drying/Drying Time
At + 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity surface-dry after 30 – 60 minutes. Completely dry and ready for stress after 1 – 2 days. Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity extend the drying time.Tools
For an efficient application of Capadecor Stucco Satinato the use of an abrasion-resistant stainless steel made drawing knife (double blade spring scraper) is advisable. Before doing so, generally smoothen the scraper with wet abrasive paper (400 - 600 grit) and remove sharp edges.Tool Cleaning
Immediately after use with water.Note
Cleaning and Care:Cleaning must previously be checked on a test area, with due care. Glossy marks/areas, caused by inappropriate cleaning, cannot be removed.
The surface of Stucco Satinato may have no writing resistance, depending on the colour.
Writing resistance and cleanability of surfaces can be enhanced, either by a scraper applied coat of Capadecor Decolasur Matt or by a roller applied coat of Disbopur 458 PU-Aquasiegel.
For this, a previously applied test area is indispensable to find out possible changes of the colour effect and gloss level.

Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the fullrequirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from
site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.
In Germany: Only completely empty containers should be handed in for recycling. Dispose containers
with residues of liquid material as remnants of water-based paints and dried material as hardened
paints waste or via domestic waste.
