Field of Application
White pigmented, matt priming paint for wooden component parts with limited or unlimited dimensional stability, and intermediate coat for metal and unplasticized/rigid PVC, exteriors and interiors. Due to the characteristic odour of alkyd enamel coatings, it is advisable to use Capacryl PU-Vorlack, Capacryl Haftprimer or Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund for priming coats on large, seamless indoor surfaces to be coated.Material Properties
- Easy to apply
- Good opacity (hiding/covering power)
- Lead-free
- Fast-drying
- Good flow
- Short-term resistance against weak acids and bases

Suitable Substrates
Wood, primed zinc (galvanised substrates), iron, aluminium and unplasticized/rigid PVC. Not suitable for anodised aluminium. The substrate must be clean, sound/stable, dry, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. Max. permissible moisture content in dimensionally stable wood: 13 %; in limited stable wood and parts of unstable shape: 15 %.Wooden Parts:
Sand the surface in fibre direction, clean thoroughly, remove all seeping wood contents, e.g. wood resin/rosin and resin galls (resin/pitch pockets). Cut sharp edges (see BFS Data Sheet No. 18).
Iron, Steel:
Derust according to industry standard SA 2 ½ (blasting) or ST3 (mechanically) as per DIN EN ISO 12944-4.
Zinc, Unplasticized/Rigid PVC:
Wash with ammoniacal wetting agent using abrasive pad as per BFS Data Sheet No. 5 and No. 22.
Aluminium:
Clean with phosphoric acid solution using abrasive pad as per BFS Data Sheet No. 6.
Existing Paint Coatings:
Roughen/sand the surface and/or treat with alkali. Remove unstable existing coatings.
Method of Application
The product is applicable with brush or roller. Stir well before use and thin with Caparol AF-Verdünner (thinner) or a non-aromatic synthetic resin thinner, if necessary.Guidelines for Spray Application:

Special Risks (Hazard Note) / Safety Advice (Status as at Date of Publication)
Contains Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, reaction products with N,N-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine and 1,3-propanediamine, neodecanoic acid, cobalt salt. May produce an allergic reaction. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures. In Germany: Only completely empty containers must be handed in for recycling. Dispose containers with residues of liquid product via waste collection point accepting old paints and enamels. Dispose dried/hardened product residues as construction site/demolition/municipal or domestic waste.
