Suitable Substrates

The substrates must be free of dirt, separating substances and dry. Please note our Technical Information No. 650 "Substrates and their pretreatment” with regard to their suitability for different substrates and their necessary pre-treatment.

Method of Application

With a paint brush or brush, the full, strengthening effect is achieved by applying it generously. Application with the roller is also possible.

Thinning

Always apply the product undiluted.

Surface Coating System

Apply undiluted once on normally absorbent substrates. Apply once undiluted, but generously, to highly absorbent surfaces. Apply wet-on-wet, with a brush, flat brush or paint brush until the substrate is completely saturated. The primer must not form a closed, glossy film.

Consumption

Approx. 150–250 ml/m², depending on the absorbency and type of substrate. Determine the exact consumption by means of a test coating.

Application Conditions

Material, air and substrate temperature: Min. +5°C to max. +30°C.

Drying/Drying Time

At +20°C and 65% relative humidity recoatable after approx. 12 hours. 
Lower temperatures extend the drying time.

Tools

Paint brush or brush.

Tool Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after use with soap and water.

Note

FungiGrund is not suitable for horizontal surfaces exposed to water.

Compatibility with other materials:
FungiGrund must not be mixed with other materials.

Wear protective gloves/ eye protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.

Contains:2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reactionmass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1).

The product falls under the regulation on biocide products (EU) 528/2012. Biocidal product type: PT 10 -Construction material preservatives. Expiry Date: Observe label precautions. Active substance:
Quaternary ammonium compounds, benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl, chlorides (4,0 g/l), 2-octyl 2Hisothiazol-3-one (0,4 g/l), Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.

Disposal

Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.
In Germany: Only completely empty containers should be handed in for recycling. Dispose containers with residues of liquid product via waste collection point accepting old paints and enamels.

EU limit value for the VOC content

This product contains max. 20 g/l VOC.
