Field of Application

Please Note:
It is highly advisable to apply one priming coat of Caparol-Haftgrund on gypsum plasterboards (sandwich-type plaster boards/drywalls) before bonding woodchip, due to the moisture buffering effect which will make it later on a lot easier to remove coated woodchip/ingrain wallpapers. Use Caparol AquaSperrgrund instead for substrates with content of substances that leave marks (e.g. lignin).
Swelling, blistering and spalling may occur when reworking gypsum fillers & surfacers, due to the long-lasting influence of moisture/humidity. Thus provide for fast drying by sufficient ventilation and temperature. In Germany: Follow Merkblatt/Data Sheet No. 2 "Verspachtelung von Gipsplatten" Bundesverband der Gips- und Gipsplattenindustrie.

Substrate Preparation
The substrate to be decorated must be sound/stable, dry, clean, even (plane & smooth) and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. Quod vide Technical Information No. 860.In Germany: Follow VOB, part C, DIN 18363, paragraph 3.
Surface Coating System
Apply one generous coat of ready-made product evenly by pasting brush or suitable pasting machine to the reverse side of the length of woodchip/ingrain wallpaper.Please adjust pasting machines (e.g. Tapofix) on their scale to applied quantity 1.5 - 2.
Consumption
Consumption for Bonding/Pasting:Approx. 200 - 250 g/m2, depending on the substrate requirements and texture.
The exact rate of consumption is best established by a trial coating.
Application Conditions
Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:+8 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
Tool Cleaning
Clean pasting brushes and machines immediately after use with water.

Keep out of reach from children. Use P2 dust filter for grinding. Ensure good ventilation during use and drying. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. In case of contact with eyes or skin, immediately and thoroughly rinse with water. Do not allow product to enter drains, waterways or soil.Further information: See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.
In Germany: Only completely emptied buckets/containers must be given for recycling. Dispose residues of liquid product as water-mixable adhesives, dried product residues as hardened adhesives or via domestic waste.
