Field of Application
Pre-finishing lacquer (undercoat) to facilitate high-quality enamel coatings on exterior & interior wood or metal surfaces. Due to a typical odour of alkyd enamels, it is advisable to use Capacryl PU-Vorlack for priming coats on large, seamless interior surfaces instead.Material Properties
- Excellent opacity (hiding/covering power), highly covering edges.
- High filling properties.
- High stability (low sagging).
- Excellent adhesion.
- Good sandability.
- Excellent flow.
- Thixotropic, non-dripping viscosity.
- Free of lead and chromate.
- Fast-drying.
- Colour shade is adjusted to match the white enamels/varnishes (Capalac).
Material Base / Vehicle
Alkyd resin with non-aromatic solvents.Packaging/Package Size

When colour shades with a lower opacity (hiding/covering power) are used, e.g. red, orange or yellow, it is advisable to apply one priming coat of Capalac Vorlack, tinted in a matching priming system colour, available via ColorExpress.

Stir well before use. Capalac Vorlack can be applied by enamel brush, roller or spraying equipment.
+5 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
Relative humidity must not exceed 80 %.
Suitable Substrates
Wood components (wooden parts) and primed metals.Substrate Preparation
Slightly sand the surface of wood and primed metals, followed by thorough cleaning.Method of Application
Capalac Vorlack is ready-to-use and can be applied by enamel brush or roller.
Guidelines for Spray Application:
Ø Nozzle | Pressure | Thinning/Dilution | Material Temperature | |
Airless | 0,009 - 0,013 inch | 180 - 200 bar | in delivered viscosity | - |
Aircoat-TempSpray | 0,009 - 0,013 inch | 180 - 200 bar | in delivered viscosity | 35 °C |
Application:
Spray application via Airless & Aircoat is possible in delivered consistency by warming the material (TempSpray).
