    White.

Capacryl PU-Vorlack ist tintable via the ColorExpress (Capamix) tinting & mixing machine system.

When applying colours with low opacity, like Red, Orange or Yellow, it is advisable to apply one priming coat using the matching colour shade of our Priming System. Suitable Priming System colours are available via the ColorExpress tinting technique.

    Gloss Level

    Suitable Substrates

Primed, dimensionally stable wood component parts, metals, and rigid/unplasticized PVC. Substrates must be clean, sound/stable, dry, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion. Maximum permissible wood moisture content (WMC) of dimensionally stable wood: 13 %.

    Substrate Preparation

Roughening and cleaning the primered surface.

    Method of Application

Capacryl PU-Vorlack can be applied with brush, roller or spraying equipment. Stir well before use and dilute with max. 5 % to 15 % of tap (potable) water, if necessary.
Use Orelmix brushes for brush application. For manual application on large areas use a short pile (textured) polyamide (nylon) roller and directly treat the surface with a fine-porous foam roller or Orelmix brush.

Tool size should match the size of surfaces to be treated, thus allowing efficient surface painting and uniform finishing (also see supplementary application information for PU enamel system).

    1) Always apply Capacryl Holz-IsoGrund on wood with water-soluble, discolouring wood ingredients (2 x on knots).
    2) Intermediate coat, tinted to match the finishing coat in shade. For reddish, yellowish or orange shades with low opacity a suitable colour is mixed via ColorExpress. This colour slightly deviates from the selected colour providing for a better hiding power of the finishing coat.
    3) Colour shades with low opacity (e.g. yellow/red/orange) may require an additional coat.

Note: Adhesion must be tested in advance for powder coatings, coil coatings and other critical/problematic substrates by trial application.

    Consumption

    Approx. 100 – 130 ml/m2 per coat.
Consumption is a reference value and may vary, depending on the substrate and its condition.
Determine the exact amount of material required by coating a test area on site.

    Application Conditions

Lower Temperature Limit for Application and Drying:
Min. 8 °C for product, substrate and ambient air.
Relative humidity must not exceed 70 %.
