Capalac PU-Härter
Additive for alkyd enamels to accelerate drying and
enhance the resistance to chemical and mechanical loads.
Field of Application
Suitable as additive for all types of alkyd enamels (alkyd resin varnishes), except water emulsified alkyd enamels, for adding 5 - 15 % by volume, if rigid and hard substrates are to be coated. For interior and exterior use. Particularly suitable to accelerate the drying of Capalac SolidGold and applicable as hardener for Capalac EffektLack, Hochglanz-Buntlack and Seidenmatt-Buntlack in the colour shades RAL 9006 and 9007.Material Properties

The additive is colourless and reduces the opacity (hiding/covering power), depending on the amount of added hardener; viscosity is slightly diminished. The gloss level of silk/semi matt and silk gloss finish is slightly increased. For professional use only!Substrate Preparation
For brush or roller application mix thoroughly 5 - 10 % by volume of additive into the alkyd resin enamel, depending on the desired drying acceleration and finish-hardness. Maximum additive quantity for spray application: 15 % by volume.Note: Do not add more than 15 % by volume, respectively 5 % by volume if using Capalac Dickschichtlack!
Workability
Pot Life (Workability Time):At +20 °C the pot life is 8 hours.
Note: The end of pot life is not visible.
Drying/Drying Time
Drying Acceleration:At +20° C and 65 % relative humidity.
With reference to the drying time given for respective products, the drying time is considerably reduced with the following margins corresponding to the quantities of added product:
Addition of 5 volume per cent: about approx. 20 %
Addition of 10 volume per cent: about approx. 30 %
Addition of 15 volume per cent: about approx. 40 %.

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not breathe dust/ fume/ gas/ mist/ vapours/ spray. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/ protective clothing/ eye protection/ face protection. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/ physician. Do NOT induce vomiting.
Contains: Aliphatic Polyisocyanate (IPDI), xylene, 3-isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexyl isocyanate. May produce an allergic reaction.
Disposal
Materials and all related packaging must be disposed of in a safe way in accordance with the full requirements of the local authorities. Particular attention should be made to removing wastage from site in compliance with standard construction site procedures.Germany: Only completely empty containers should be handed in for recycling.
Material residues: Allow the basic substance to harden with hardener and dispose of as paint waste. Uncured product residues are special/hazardous waste.

of this product (category: A/j): max. 500 g/l (The product VOC limit must not exceed 500 g/l).VOC content of this product: max. 500 g/l VOC.
Category A/j is reached, if added to alkyd enamels. The max. adding value has to be requested.
