Field of Application
Suitable for high-quality finishing (top) coats on wood, metals and unplasticized/rigid PVC, exteriors and interiors. Do not use on heating systems.Due to the product typical odour of alkyd enamels (alkyd resin varnishes), it is advisable to use Capacryl PU-Satin for top coats on large-scale, seamless interior surfaces instead.
Material Properties
- High degree of whiteness
- Noble silk-matt finish
- Long open time
- High stability (low sagging)
- Excellent opacity (hiding/covering power), even on edges
- High impact strength and shock resistance
- Easy and elegant to apply
- Fast-drying
- Excellent flow
- Resistant to common household detergents and short-term resistance against weak acids and alkalis
- High weather and light resistance
Material Base / Vehicle
Polyurethane alkyd resin, solvent-based, free of aromatic hydrocarbons.
Packaging/Package Size
- White: 375 ml, 750 ml, 2,5 litres
- Off-White: 2,5 litres
Colours
White (Weiß), Off-White (Altweiß)Note:
The typical yellowing effect on the surface of white and light-coloured alkyd enamels may occur (caused by low UV radiation, heat or chemical influences due to e.g. ammonia vapour from detergents, adhesives, paint or sealing compounds). This yellowing is no product defect and cannot be objected.
Colour Resistance according to BFS Data Sheet No. 26:
Binder: Class B
Pigmentation: Group 1
Gloss Level
Silk-matt/semi-gloss (mid sheen / velvet or eggshell-like finish)
Storage
Keep in a cool place, in tightly closed cans/containers.

Suitable Substrates
Primed and pre-coated wood, iron, steel, zinc/galvanised substrates, aluminium (but no anodised aluminium), and unplasticized/rigid PVC. The substrate must be clean, stable, dry, and free from all substances that may prevent good adhesion.Substrate Preparation
Roughen/sand the primed surface slightly and clean thoroughly.
Method of Application
The product is ready-to-use for brush or roller application.
